One of my favorite. I give credit where it is due. Clean, and good food. But I will never go back.
Had a horrific experience with a take out order. Things were done differently during the ordering process than normal, no big deal.
Poke bowls were a nightmare. I was told to wait and I’d be called to make my two bowls. To go through to the ridiculousness of what ensued is too much, the most important part of the review- I’m a fifty year old woman being called ‘dude’ and told to wait, and dealing with a child who pointed out everyone’s fault he worked with and not ONE coworker said a word. I even ask for help from the other workers and was ignored. Apparently, a child in a bad mood runs the place. Mumbling, mean looks, long sighs, and looking to blame instead of making a clients meal. He must have blamed the cashier five times. I. Don’t. Care. I would just like my dinner.
I never got my dinner, given dirty looks, and when I asked for my money back for the one item I didn’t receive , I got back the price, not including tax or tip.
I will never go back. And I will tell my experience to everyone I know.
There’s a wonderful poke bowl restaurant on State Hill road, you fill out a little slip, you wait for your name to be called you pay and you leave.
I’d love to know who owns this establishment and wonder if they care about...
Read moreThis is, hands down, the best ramen place in southern Berks County.
I got the tonkatsu ramen. The broth was delicious, the noodles were super soft, I got four pieces of chasu in my ramen without having to add any additional, and there were so many noodles. It's flavorful, you get a good amount of food for the money you paid, and it just feels good to eat. This place is great and the takoyaki was also superb.
No shade to other ramen places but if I pay $13-$16 for a bowl of ramen and only get two small pieces of chasu then you're doing it wrong. You know who you are.
I also appreciated the very hands-off service. I could order at a kiosk and sit down and get my food. There's also QR codes at the table to scan. If you want more face to face service then that'll be something you'll miss but I was happy with just coming in and getting my food.
Will definitely go here again....
Read moreI'm thrilled to finally have a Ramen spot so close to me. Sure, it's more of a poke and tea place despite the name but I'm happy to report that the ramen is decent. As of now that's based on takeout but I'll definitely go back for a sit down meal. I had the tonkotsu ramen and an order of takoyaki. The takoyaki had the right flavor and mouth-burning heat but was a bit mushier than I prefer. The tonkotsu broth was light, which I like, and the right amount of porky flavor for me. The noodles could have been better but, again, this is takeout so it's hard to really assess until I sit-in to eat. The rest of the ingredients were good - fresh and tasty. Especially the chashu pork, egg and bamboo shoots. The staff were incredibly polite and friendly. The dining area is clean, well lit and inviting. I'll try a bowl of their poke and a tea next...
