MeloMelo Coconut Dessert – A Must-Try for Coconut Lovers in Cupertino and Milpitas
MeloMelo Coconut Dessert has quickly become one of my favorite dessert spots in the Bay Area. Having tried Tong Sui and other dessert shops, I can confidently say MeloMelo stands out for its passion for coconuts. The quality is evident in both presentation and taste. I also appreciate their eco-friendly commitment to glass jars, which feels premium, sustainable, and perfect for re-use. Everything is made fresh each morning and delivered to their stores daily, and you can taste that freshness in every bite.
For value shoppers like me, the jars are generously sized while still maintaining top quality. MeloMelo also rewards regulars: if you return 10 jars, you receive a free Jasmine Coconut ($7.99), and they offer a loyalty program tied to your phone number. Honestly, I would love to see MeloMelo vending machines one day.
I have visited both the Cupertino and Milpitas locations many times. The Cupertino shop is spacious with comfortable seating, a lively atmosphere, and often busier, so popular items sometimes sell out quickly. The Milpitas store is about one-third the size with only a few tables, but I found it well-stocked even when visiting after dinner. Both locations are consistent in flavor and quality, which makes me confident in recommending them.
Must-Try Desserts at MeloMelo
Coconut Triple ($10.99) – 5+/5 Their signature creation with coconut water jelly, creamy coconut milk pudding, and tender coconut meat. This layered dessert is refreshing, indulgent, and the ultimate treat for coconut lovers. For the best experience, enjoy it at home with a long metal spoon to scoop the coconut meat and mix in fresh fruits. My only feedback is that the top opening could be cut larger, since the attached lid sometimes makes scooping tricky.
Mango Coconut ($10.99) – 5/5 Coconut jelly combined with perfectly ripe mango chunks. This is tropical heaven in a jar. The sweetness of the mango balances beautifully with the creamy coconut base, making it my go-to pick.
Mango Roll ($10.99) – 4.8/5 Fresh mango slices with cream, wrapped in delicate rice paper and topped with diced mango. Light, sweet, and refreshing, although a little messy to eat since it tends to fall apart quickly. Still, a delightful option for mango fans.
Final Thoughts
MeloMelo is more than a dessert shop. It is a celebration of coconuts, from eco-friendly glass jars to consistently fresh, flavorful creations. Whether you visit the Cupertino or Milpitas location, you will enjoy some of the best coconut desserts in the Bay Area. I am thrilled MeloMelo has joined our community, and I look forward to returning...
Read moreThe first photo starting from bottom left, clockwise, is the Coconut Single, Coconut Double, and the Mango Coconut. The little tray is the Mango Roll. They’re all yummy and great for dessert lovers but also for people who don’t enjoy sweet things. It has very minimal sweetness and I can’t stress enough how REFRESHING their desserts are here! You feel SO HYDRATED afterwards. Capitalised to emphasise just how refreshingly hydrated one feels after having their desserts lol.
The Mango Roll was heavier than the signature jelly desserts due to the cream in it, but it’s still on the lighter end. I used to make desserts at home using rice paper and that’s exactly how it tastes. Coconut Single is so clean tasting and I enjoyed it a lot. It’s the perfect little size for people who aren’t usually dessert people, or if you want something small. Coconut Double has coconut jelly pieces in it that add texture but doesn’t taste of much. If you don’t like the sound of the coconut meat in the Coconut Triple then you may want to just get the single and skip the jelly pieces in the Double (there are three sizes for the coconut-only ones). Mango Coconut is the most popular at the store and the mango and here tasted really fresh and meaty in a good way.
Strangely, they offer you one free Coconut Single if you bring in 10 jars. They have no stickers, punch cards or digital log. You have to bring the jars in cleaned and in good condition. If you return the jars you ate immediately then you just “forfeit” that promo. So we plopped ours in a canvas bag and brought them home, but their system made me giggle since it feels silly. They’ll just have to sit next to my LUSH tubs at home for a bit!
This is my fav dessert place in the area now since I really don’t enjoy sugar or sweet desserts. Happy I know a place I can go with my sweet-toothed friends and family where everyone can enjoy dessert together. Also the staff were very patient and pleasant!
The minus 1 star is just cos I am not a dessert person and due to the weird way they make you take the jars home to participate...

Looking for a silky smooth, burst-full-of-flavor coconut pudding that offers a refreshing twist on a classic while focusing on natural flavors and healthy desserts? You're at the right spot!
This is an Asian dessert lover's paradise. The focus is on quality ingredients without overpowering the natural flavors with artificial sweeteners. The fresh coconut pudding is a must try! You want something more creative? They offer various flavor combinations to satisfy everyone's taste.
The texture is just perfect and the silky smooth pudding is not too sweet and full of flavor. It may remind you a bit of the texture of douhua (think soft tofu pudding) rather than American style pudding. The toppings like mango, matcha, etc. are also high quality and add to the premium feel.
While I admire other super successful chains selling coconut jelly that bring their specific tech mindset/background of optimizing to the nth degree, there is something to be said about having a different approach that brings something different to the table. Bella Wang, the owner of MeloMelo, is primarily focused on providing the freshest and best product and her main, unwavering goal is top quality above all else. And if you are wondering where the name of the business comes from - Melo Melo is her cat.
I've been to every single MeloMelo location in SoCal and they are all consistently amazing with simple and quite lovely decor. The vibe is immaculate.
