June 2025: Oy, from $1.50 to $2.25+ (mostly $4.5 or $6) is a very large price increase.
Adorable items all over the store, but not always worth parting $5+ to bring home. A few photos are cheaper. I will research my items better before purchasing. I did see some items are still Made in Japan.
Store was quite clean and organized. I did purchase a couple items on this trip, items that I planned for and needed immediately.
No credit card purchase minimum.
Original review, 2018: If you find something you really like, buy more than one! It always seems to be hit-or-miss about restocking popular items. I am always purchasing 1) laundry mesh bags (back wall), 2) scissors - either kitchen shears or desk scissors (in different locations), and 3) paring/general food prep knives. I always admire the walls and walls of cute eraser packs - but I have no need for them and do not buy any. -kitchen items (utensils, baking items) -crafts (sewing, paper, knitting, yarn, crochet, tape, origami) -beauty (makeup, skincare, tools) -cleaning (brooms, microfiber cloths) some travel bags some pets-related items some gardening/home items and snack items near checkout All items are $1.50 unless specifically and individually marked with a...
Read moreDisclaimer: I am obsessed with Daiso. Cute Japanese products at ridiculously reasonable prices? As a shopoholic that can't resist a good deal, I am in heaven whenever walk through the doors. They have a vast range of items including but not limited to stationery, cleaning supplies, knick-knacks, art materials, and even cooking accessories. If you want a random item, most likely you will find some form of it here. I've bought everything from hot-pot utensils to a rainbow outfit for one of my dogs. Though it's a dollar store, you will probably walk out spending much more since all the small items tend to add up.
I used to purchase dishes and cups at this location but stopped after seeing a lead warning poster pasted on the door periodically over the past few years. I also try to avoid buying the perishable food & snacks here (or at any dollar store for that matter) since I'm not sure about the turnover and freshness. I'd rather buy those items at a grocery market that I trust a little bit more. I'd also be wary of the make-up here since the quality or additives could be questionable. Still, if you are careful you can score some great deals here! It's the perfect place for a...
Read moreWe love this Daiso, always have very unique assortment of useful nick-nacks.
We bought very sharp kitchen knives here many years ago and are still using them!
They sell a few variety of batteries, ie CR2025, but no CR2016. The small crockery kitchenware is good, their house slippers are good, about $4.25/pair, lots of stationary, makeup, bathroom accessories, organizing items, some outdoor/patio plant/planting accessories, some food/snacks/beverages, and of course Holiday/seasonal items.
Products keep changing so every visit is sure to be unique.
For between $1.75/item (lowest cost of an item) - $15 or so (very high quality yoga mat), it's not bad. Most are made in China but you can find some made in Japan...
