One Pot Shabu Shabu is definitely an amazing place to come to. From the quick check-in system to the amazing atmosphere, it's awesome! The prices were reasonable for a Shabu Shabu place, ranging from $22~$32 depending on what you ordered.
We arrived here on a Sunday night, so it was definitely packed. We waited for about 35 minutes and was quickly seated. The Server came over and asked us if we needed help ordering and brought waters. We ordered two sumo sizes (largest they had @ $30) of the ribeye and the wagyu. The meats, rice, sauces, vegetable box, and broth was brought out in about 5 minutes, which was just absolutely ridiculous in terms of speed!
Anyway, the meat was really good! The vegetable box was also really cool that they gave you a lot of different varieties (tofu, mushroom, carrots, lettuce, etc.). So, now you're wondering, how in God's great green earth did this place only get a 2-stars. Well, let me break it down to you in 2 parts.
First, the broth was BOTH bland and seemed like it was unseasoned. We got a garlic miso and house special. Now, you would think that the house special would be their best broth since it is the house special OR at least filled with a lot of flavors. No. None of those. The broth was bland, kind of creamy texture that didn't taste of anything. When I would dip in the meats, I felt like it was just boiling in water. The garlic miso was a little bit better with more flavor, but not enough to completely say WOW. We were joking at the table to ask for salt to dump into both of these broths.
Second, the sauces were absolutely tragic. They only provided two, their own house sauce and some type of ponzu. The house sauce was definitely peanut butter melted down and mixed with other ingredients. It was bland, not enough flavor. The ponzu sauce was honestly such a letdown. I tried my very best to enjoy it, but it was overly sweetened.
I may seem like a hater, but I'm really not. We sat at home for about a good hour reading through the NUMEROUS and AMAZING reviews that One Pot was receiving. We were extremely excited to go and have a good dinner meal. I kept hearing these two people sitting across from us saying that their food was amazing. I don't know what ours was missing? So, I will return once more in the near future to try AGAIN. Don't get me wrong, the service was quick and awesome. The food came out beautifully. The atmosphere was really cool (definitely a place to go on dates). But until then, this experience of mine was rather sad. $80 for dinner of 2, in which, I was just shoving food down my throat because I didn't want to waste it. We then proceeded to go to Happy Lemon to wash it down with some of their delicious Salted...

-------------- food -------------- how to order: you choose a cut of meat as your entree and a specific broth! each entree comes with a plate of veggies and a bowl of rice i always get the regular size american kobe wagyu beef with garlic miso broth... the wagyu is SO delicious i swear it melts in your mouth! i have tried the rib eye, spicy kimchi broth, and traditional broth which were all good! the meat quality here is just 10/10 amazing they provide 2 dipping sauces, green onions, and minced garlic don't forget to ask them to refill your broth with their traditional seaweed water if the broth gets too thick! PRO-TIP: order one entree and then a side order of meat to share with another person!! it's much cheaper than each person getting an entree!! YOU'RE WELCOME!! :)
--------------- fyi --------------- one pot is a bit pricey i usually pay about $25-30+ when i come here but its waaaay more worth than some AYCE place with poor quality! this place gets PACKED especially on weekends for dinner... so i recommend coming on weekdays or early! you can add your name to their waitlist and you will receive text updates to view your place in the queue, but they will not seat you until your whole...

My girlfriend and I love hot pot, so we had to try One Pot Shabu Shabu when we spotted it next to Daiso. It’s a small, intimate spot, with lighting that keeps the focus on what matters—the food!
🍲 Broths & Proteins
We ordered:
House Special Broth (Miso/Soymilk) – my pick
Garlic Miso Broth – my girlfriend’s choice
Both were flavorful and well-balanced. For meats, we had Kubota Pork Belly and American Kobe Beef, both top-tier in quality. Even the standard cuts were incredibly tender.
Each meal includes a generous veggie box 🥦 and a choice of rice or noodles. I chose clear noodles (harusame), while she went with rice.
☯️ The "One Pot" Twist
Instead of individual pots, they serve the broth yin-yang style, letting you share and swap flavors. Plus, there’s a temperature control knob so you’re not stuck with boiling-hot broth the entire time.
🥜 Dipping Sauces
They provide sesame sauce and ponzu sauce—mix and match to find your favorite combo. I liked a bit of both!
⭐ Final Thoughts
One Pot Shabu Shabu stands out with high-quality meats, flavorful broths, and thoughtful details. Whether you're a hot pot pro or a first-timer, this place is a must-try. We’ll definitely be back—maybe for the premium cuts...
