Had a birthday party here and man were the staff patient for letting us stay 30 minutes past closing as the rambunctious crowd we were! Came here on a reservation at 8 pm for 8 people on a Tuesday dinner. Food: I got the beef tofu soup but also tried the hand cut noodles and the short ribs bbq. Definitely enjoyed the tofu soup, good portion sizes. I like the purple rice as well since it compliments the spice of the tofu soup. I really like the appetizers here, the staff are quick to replenish the stock and the fish tofu and japjae are always my go to ones. Service: Really accommodating staff for groups! The front lady is super super nice and let us borrow a lighter. Ambiance: A more finer dining place and less casual especially with the nice booth seating! Overall, really enjoyed the experience and would come back.

Went here for dinner and it was super busy. Felt like it was a short staffed but that didn't bother me. I get it. They were very nice and no one was rude to us The food was good. Wasn't amazing but I would come back again. My wife and I got different bibimbop. She got the regular bibimbop with purple rice while I got the wagu stone pot version. I highly recommend the stone pot since it has the crispy rice on the bottom. the server recommended us the pancake which we didn't try. I saw the other tables and it looks delicious Like I mentioned earlier, I would come back again and try. hopefully the soup and the pancake would change my review. Also to close on this review, I would really like to emphasize that the price was great compared to the amount of food you're getting.

You know the food is going to taste good when "Just One Day" by BTS is playing as soon as you walk into the restaurant. This is a cozy restaurant tucked away in the busy Marketplace Cupertino Plaza. I highly recommend the Seafood Green Onion Pancake! The perfectly crispy texture combined with a fluffy batter in the center. They don't skimp in the seafood too! Many pieces of squid especially. Our waitress REALLY wanted us to order this, so we knew we were making the right decision. Everyone who comes here gets their Soft Tofu Soup (Soondubu Jjigae) and the portions are superb. I left so full and even had leftovers! With all the good quality side dishes and hearty soup, I left satisfied. One of my favorite spots!

Maybe we did not know which dishes to pick. I was not hungry but Dad want to try ( I think he had this place before). He like the Green Onion Pancake. Even tho it was pretty good, I was worried Dad ordered the large for $ 27? but he ordered the small which was only $ 18 ? I believe. It is kind of expensive for Pancake but it was good but i prefer Chinese pancake as Korean had other things in it ( not only Green Onion). The Tofu Stew were not very good. Since Dad order seafood, I thought it would be good but the soup taste like Instant noodle packet. Just not very good for 20.99. Dad should have tried the Ramen ( with seafood, only $ 18.99? The thing that was very good were the free side dishes. The free side dishes were delicious ( KimChi, bean sprout, dried tofu & regular tofu too, Glass Noodle, delicious, & seaweed). I would say the free side dishes are delicious here, Im just not sure the Tofu stew is good. The table beside us order some type of Pure Beef. It look really good. I notice later that the Beef dishes ( Ribeye & also Ribs) were mostly 30 dollars ( or around 30 dollars) which i guess is good deal. But there is one Beef dish that is 67 dollars ( I believe it is braised so that is why that one Beef dish cost more). They also had some type of Fried Chicken Appetizer for $ 27. I just dont recommend the Tofu Stew. The thing I did not like is nobody greeted us. I am patient, but my Dad is not. Since nobody greet us, we choose a table. Then a lady come out and tried to force us to to sit immediate next to window. We did not want hot sun ( so we insist to sit one table away from hot sun). I notice other customers later pull down the shade. They should prepare with shade if they expect you to sit next to hot sun. I do understand hostess is only try to do her job, but if we are the first customer, you should just let us sit away from the sun. I almost told Dad that we should just go to Gyu which is an attractive japanese nearby or just go to the noodle soup place which might be more expensive but at least better food. Oh, and where the lady wanted us to sit all the tables ( for two are very close to one another making atmosphere a little crowded). The only good thing is they dont force you to tip 18percent like most Chinese. They give you option to...

Quite a terrible experience and wished we had left after the incredibly rude and insensitive comment made by the waiter, who may have been the owner?

We sat down to order and the waiter made a comment about the person (male) making the order's voice sounding like a girl's voice, then asking why a guy with mustache has a voice like that, and then proceeded to make a snarky comment about us not wanting to be healthy by not opting for the purple rice. I can understand the culture gap being the reason for this but this kind of outright rude behavior is just quite egregious.

Then when we asked to get a refill on the side dishes, he made us finish the side dishes in front of him first before he agreed to bring us seconds. I have never encountered anything like this before. It was one shock factor after another.

Lastly, he brought over these savory crackers and called them Korean desserts and only gave 3 for the 4 of us.

Nevermind the incredibly rude service, but the food itself was also poor. The side dishes were flavorless. The best thing was really the kimchi which was the only thing that tasted like anything, though I've tasted better ones (Tofu House). The seafood pancake was the only thing that was alright. The beef and spicy pork dishes were just edible, at least they seemed to be freshly made to order.

And the rice was shocking. One of the rice bowl had rice that was al-dente. How can an Asian restaurant not cook something as simple as rice properly? At least they agreed to take the bowl with the uncooked rice and replace it with another bowl of rice, which did taste much better (was cooked).

Overall, would not...

Have been here a few times. Generally average food and okay service. They have messed up my order a few times but are usually good about fixing it.

Should be at least 3 stars, however, this past time they forgot numerous side dishes and entire main dishes on my take away order. They were rude on the phone and asked what I wanted- the owner himself offered the side dishes for pickup, not delivery, or a refund. Returning to pick up food would take an hour round trip which wouldnt work for my event. I wanted to be refunded which the owner then refused to do “because the charge already happened” but that he would give me store credit or cash. When I asked for clarification he hung up and when I dialed back he said was too busy and to come in.

I later went in and they rudely had me wait for another 20 minutes at the counter while processing other customers who came after me. I assumed this was because the refund process would be lengthy. Literally they just had to type in my order number and click void but that was apparently not possible to do without me driving all the way back and then having to wait. The owner also asked me to come behind the counter to help click on the screen. Seemed like he was trying to annoy me into leaving.

Would have been 3-5 stars if they had followed through on refunding or delivered to make up for their mistake without making me jump through so many hoops- making me come in unnecessarily, them lying about refunds not being possible, making me wait in an attempt that I just...
