My family and I come here every year to stay since my kids are in Scouts. The hotel in conveniently located next to Apples Headquarters and several of the hotel guests are Apple employees.
The hotel has a free breakfast which is very good. if you eat breakfast, say “Goodmorning” to Rosa. she is the person who helps clean-up the dishes and always has a smile on her face. The breakfast buffet includes making your own waffles which my kids love to do; add some Nutella and bananas and you have a great waffle :). Breakfast is buffet style with scrambled eggs bacon sausage and other typical foods like oatmeal yogurt bananas (and other fruit) cereal bread bagels muffins hard-boiled egg etc.
We always get the room with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. it works out perfectly for our family. The sofa is also a bed so you could squeeze 6 people in the room if you had to. The room comes with an electric stove, oven, microwave owen, dishwasher, all the utensils needed for basic living (fork knife spoon plates bowls toaster coffee machine refrigerator pots and pans, etc). it is basically a small furnished apartment.
the hotel has a gym which is actually a pretty decent gym, a fire-pit and BBQ grilling area in the back of the hotel near the parking lot. Parking is free and in a parking structure (which always has parking available)
Most importantly, the hotel has a laundry room with about 6 washers and 10-12 dryers. we just finished a 2.5 week trip and it was great to get all the laundry done in about 2 hours. detergent and bounce sheets are free !
Within 30 second to 1 minute walk, there is a Philz coffee, meet fresh (bubble tea), Ippudo (noodles) and several other restaurants that are suitable for most people. Across the street (about 3-4 minute walk is a bowling alley. about 4-5 blocks away there is a Safeway grocery store as well as a 99 Ranch supermaket. So this is a fantastic place to stay. Citibank is just across the street
The only thing i think could use improvement is the internet speed. given that it is next to Apple, i would think internet service would be faster (maybe it is a paid upgrade service or something-i will have to look into that)
Would we stay here again ? Well we stayed here last year and we are back. my kids love staying here so we would absolutely stay here again 👍👌
Thanks Rosa for always being so friendly and cheerful in the morning when everyone else is still half-asleep 🙏. You’ve made staying here such...
Read moreThis hotel was fine. This was one of 5 hotels we stayed at during the course of a 2 week road trip and our least favorite. It wasn't bad but there was nothing really great about it either. The staff all around was mostly pretty indifferent vs welcoming and hospitable. Entry to our room had been delayed because it had been "flagged for deep cleaning" and it would have been nice if they notified us in the Bonvoy app. ||Our room was clean except for something crusty on the side of one of the armchairs (I'm sure this is just easily missed by housekeeping but it was super obvious while sitting on the couch). The couch needs to be replaced or repaired; one of the cushions had broken support and was sinking into the frame. ||We had a 2 bedroom suite and weren't expecting one of the bedrooms to be accessible. The low bed and the wet room style bathroom weren't our preference. I am not sure if there is a non accessible configuration of the 2 bedroom suite (there are no photos on the website). The low bed was a problem because the mattress was low but the bedside lighting was really high up as well as really far away from the bed so you had to get up and out of bed just to turn on/off your bedside lights. ||Breakfast was not great. The pancakes were rubbery and the eggs were of the powedered variety. The grab and go egg sandwich was really bad. Your best bet is the oatmeal, hard boiled eggs or breads. There is a waffle maker too. They lock up the food area right on the dot so bear that in mind if you aren't the punctual sort. ||There was free laundry and free detergent- that was awesome. The common spaces were all clean and...
Read moreThis hotel is a newer building in a shopping mall conveniently located near the 280 freeway & Apple. Because the hotel is newer, the furnishings and amenities were newer and the hotel overall appears to be well-maintained.|The outdoor courtyard has a nice large fire pit but the parking garage noise takes away from the ambience, even with a fountain as background noise. Free breakfast (toast, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, & hot foods) w/pandemic modifications were standard and replenished by staff. I only grabbed cereal and fruit to go so cannot speak to the quality of hot foods.|I had ample choices for food each day and got my caffeine fix from Philz Coffee even though the room had complimentary coffee.|I knocked down one star because the lack of noise insulation is astoundingly bad and the mattress was terrible in my king suite for a hotel of the class. I was routinely woken by doors being slammed, neighbors walking in the hall, above, or next to me. Phone conversations and even the buzzing of a cell phone during the night could be heard. Unfortunately, I forgot my earplugs but I don’t think that would’ve made a big difference because I woke up having to shift my body due to the hard mattress. It felt like I was sleeping on a cotton pad over a plank of plywood. Additionally, I contended with cigarette smoke coming into my room one evening and someone’s burnt microwave popcorn on another night.|For a $200+ rate, I felt like I was sleeping in a college dorm and I don’t want to...
