I personally met the owner, and greeted me as if i just moved in next door. Very kind gentleman, im assuming it is his family working the restaurant, putting tradition and purpose behind every order.

I had the pleasure of trying a couple of food items from here, but i didn't get to try something from the whole menu. Almost.

The Italian sub served hot, with a side of additional Italian dressing, perfect compliment to the sub's crispy bun. The pasta salad, immaculate, and probably my favorite pasta salad I'd ever had.

I called my wife. Yeah, it went there. We ordered, THE SAME NIGHT...

Sicilian pizza with 6 choice toppings, im talking spinach, peppers, onions, pepperoni, pineapples, tomatoes. The dough was firm, flakey, the cheese, thick. It was one hell of a pizza!

I ordered 16 pieces of mixed chicken, the DELUXE box. I received either by compliment or by mistake, JoJos, and they were the best JoJos I've ever had. The chicken was crispy, but the breading was similar to Barberton chicken almost, and the inside juicy, meat pulling right off the bone, everything you would want done with your chicken, they did it and they did it right.

Sides; Au Gratin, Mixed Vegetables, Hot Rice (on menu as Hot Sauce), and i just had to get more pasta salad. Very delicious!

My wife wanted to try the fries, they were battered and seasoned, and crispy! They tasted wonderful, each bite had the perfect seasoning to it.

Last and most certainly not the least, you get Italian style food, you have to try the pasta. Let me tell you about their Spaghetti! I've had pasta from many Italian joints across summit county. Spaghetti from here is well worth the go to, and the bread stick came with garlic butter also on the side.

I have so many left overs, my wife and i will be enjoying this for a while. I went in once for my first time ever, and later that same day called them back to spend almost $120 for a delivery. From my wife and I, not a shred of regret. The only thing they forgot, were some napkins. But i have those at home.

It's no wonder this place has won the Akron Beacon's best restaurant award.

I ordered a 8 piece chicken and pizza

When I got my order the chicken was not fresh and appeared old and was covered by jo jos like they were trying to hide them on purpose

Chicken was not even hot

Chicken skin was flaky with black areas in chicken looked like mold of some sort or just bad old chicken

I called in and told worker I was unhappy with chicken

Roughly two months ago I got chicken and it made my wife and I sick

I ordered two more times since then and 2 out of the three times have been very bad

Worker asked for my number and I was told I would get a call back

The owner Mrs.Philly called me back and told me that she would refund my chicken order and to not order food from her establishment again

I was apalled by her attitude and customer service

I have been ordering food from mark and phillys for over a decade

The chicken was unsatisfactory

All I wanted was fresh chicken

To be talked down too and told not to order again just baffles me

When I spoke to Mrs.Philly I was totally respectful

I hope all is well with the business

Her actions show otherwise

When driver showed up to give me refund I gave him the packaged chicken and placed my business card inside

Extremely Satisfying. I wanted to try a new pizza joint since it was my Birthday. Saw Mark & Philly’s had good reviews. The lady on the phone told me she’d been eating there for a really long time (like 20-30+ years or something), (don’t know how old the place is) and she recently just started working there. Anyway, she was really nice and outgoing and told me that I would not be disappointed and had me crackin up cause she sold me on the Oh, yum yum yum comment about the Sicilian (Unique taste and texture). I got a large cheese Sicilian and a Large deluxe and I was certainly not disappointed. Pizza was bangin! Tasty, REAL cheese/y, fresh tasting ingredients, and filling! Other best thing about it is that I’m eating reheated leftovers and it’s still great tasting! Can’t wait to try other menu items and will most definitely be making this a regular pizza joint! My whole family was impressed. Why didn’t I know more about this...
