My spouse and I visited Shogun on a rare night away from our home full of children. Our previous experience with shogun was at the hibachi tables but we opted for the regular dining instead. Unfortunately our menus clung to the tables and the pages were sticky on both menus. We brushed it off and ordered anyway but we should have paid attention to the foreshadowing. My spouse ordered a steak meal, I ordered the chicken, and we would have liked to share but there was no need to because they both had the exact same flavor; they tasted like water. Even our vegetables had the same watery flavor. We tried to press through it but with everything being indistinguishable in taste and the fact that the food was served room temperature we couldn't stand to eat it, especially when we were paying $20 a plate.

The real offense for us came when I requested a manager and they refused to visit the table but instead had our server hold us hostage for a $6 each because we ate the salad and onion broth that was included in the meal we actually ordered. Shogun should be ashamed of their performance and their management should know that their poor customer service has cost them.

The silver lining comes that I did enjoy a good meal and a night out with my spouse down the road as Alicia's Mexican Restaurant where I wrote...

First of all let me start by saying this was our usual spot that we ate at every month. But today’s experience changed everything and we will not be coming back. We came in and as soon as we sat down we called our waitress and told her that brother is severely allergic to anything sesame. She asked us to make sure to let the cook know too, which we did. He didn’t have the salad, ordered crazy roll and Some hibachi (steak, chicken and shrimp, and asked 50 times to make sure that it has no sesame seeds or oil. She assured us it doesn’t. As soon as he started eating we notice his face swelling and it was bad, my husband rushed him home to get his shot. We told the waitress and she said to wait for the manager. Manager came we explained the situation and she saw my brothers untouched food, she suggested that perhaps his allergies are from food he ate for lunch🤦🏻‍♀️. I said no but she kept going about how it’s not them and for sure it’s from something else. We couldn’t eat our food because how worried and stressed we were. But nothing was done no apology not even talking about discount. If you have allergies and don’t want to sacrifice your health please go somewhere else where management cares about...

The Manager is completely asleep at the wheel in this place. The prices on the menu do not match the prices on their website. 45 minutes after sitting down at the hibachi, they still hadn't started cooking our food yet with an entire table full of 8 guests. The other staff kept blaming the new chef without offering any help to him or us. At first they accused him of taking our order incorrectly and getting us confused with the only other seated table in the restaurant. After 45 minutes, they realized they had forgot to turn the grill on when we arrived so it now needed to heat up. The manager was made aware of the situation as he was sitting alone hiding in a booth in the opposite corner of the restaurant. He just waved off the problem and again blamed the new employee along with the rest of the staff. Once the chef arrived, got the grill heated up and started cooking, we had all finished our beef and rice before the shrimp appetizers were given to us and before the veggies were finally delivered. This place desperately needs a new manager who is not "out to lunch" while the rest of us are...

I don’t do very many negative reviews, but I will on this one. Came here with a large group to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The chef’s assistant was extremely inexperienced, and our table definitely got the most inexperienced chef. The area around the grill was not very clean when we first sat down. Everyone else got their salad at least 15 minutes before I did, and I had to ask three times to get mine. The food was very lackluster for the cost, that’s for sure, and my stomach was upset the rest of the evening, which is a very rare thing for me. One of our party at our table didn’t get anything close to what he ordered. The place wasn’t very clean in general, and there was some tile fallen off the footrest near the bathroom that no one bothered to pick up the entire time we were there, which was 2-1/2 hrs. To be honest, I wouldn’t come back here even if somebody gave me a gift certificate for the place.

Went there tonight. We were seated quickly. Server was pleasant and asked for our beverage order. I had water my companion ordered a beer. About 10 minutes later my water was delivered and she told my companion that the bar was working on his drink. Another 5 minutes pass and the bottle of beer finally comes. The menu is fairly limited. We ordered sushi and a gyoza appetizer. The gyoza took another good 15 minutes and was barely warm and bland. The dipping sauce was a tad too vinegary. The sushi came and was okay. We were pretty underwhelmed with the visit. Considering the prices, we won’t be back.

We always visit the Vintage park location but this time visited the 290 one. It was a week night so got seated right away. Service can definitely improve with hiring more attentive staff. Filet mignon turned out salty but otherwise food was decent. Bathroom stalls were very dirty and trash can was over flowing. The fact that it was a slow night, the manager / staff can atleast pay attention on keeping them clean. The chef that prepared our hibachi was very friendly and kept the kids on our table entertained.
