Yesterday I ordered a 10ā extension pole and to my surprise it showed up the same day but I received the wrong (6ā) item so I went to exchange and the girl told me to just go grab the 10ā and be done without even a transaction, I wasnāt sure why in my brain I was a little reluctant, it seemed that this was an easier process than doing an exchange in the computer but my gut was correct knowing thereās no way it would be this easy, I located the rack with poles and started to realize WHY they shipped the 6ā and thatās because even though they showed in stock they were not on the rack and most likely were in a box up on a high shelf (as Iāve come to expect here). When their staff isnāt kicking you out of the isle while youāre in the middle of shopping for your projects they definitely arenāt restocking the high volume merch that clearly shows āin stockā. So I march around looking for someone to retrieve my item that Iāve already paid for knowing inside that this would not be an easy task, since there were no forklift grabbers anywhere in sight I asked the older gentleman in paint who as soon as he sees that Iām coming to him for assistance decides to get down to adjust some items on a shelf, so I ask about someone checking the high shelf and he replies, āIāll have to find someone in that departmentā lol of course itās one isle over and your not helping anyone currently but when a customer needs something of a shelf they have to recruit another individual from who knows where to come find out what you need, lol seems efficient right? So I reply to the gentleman, āthat would be great!ā and head back to my item turning around as I approach the end of the isle to see the man on his knees still making his adjustments because showing signs of actually caring enough to stop and help may show signs of weakness, what could I do? While waiting Iām approached by the some headhunters that are trying to sell me some garbage that I donāt want didnāt ask for so I tell the lady āNO THANKSā, the irony here is that she probably thought I was being rude lol, I wasnāt about to ask her to get up there to check but I certainly thought about climbing up there myself. So while I wait a threesome of HD guys comes strolling right past me with a pallet jack so I thought real hard before pleading with them to see if they know how I might see if there a 10ā extension pole on the shelf that Iāve already paid for when one of them says, ā I think I saw some in the garden areaā I told him it would be strange for them to be out there, he replied basically well you know they probably were just left out there because⦠I understand this thinking because this store is riddled with these types of issues, of course my item is outside maybe where it doesnāt belong so we go walk around and sure enough we didnāt find it so on the way back inside one of the guys in the trio said that they had located my item and it was in fact where you would suspect it to be on the high shelf so now we just wait for the forklift to retrieve it. Fast forward and they hand me my item and I was a little happy just for the ordeal to be nearing its end but to my disappointment as soon as Iām exiting the isle I realize that this is not my item at all so I hand it back and tell him, yes itās a ten foot extension but the one I bought is a nice aluminum version with quick release doodads and not this cheap one. In the end I had to go back to the CS girl but not before waiting in line again to explain to her so that she could refund me for the item. And how much do you want to bet that this will continue to happen? I hope the manager Jason reads this, your store is not to good sir, I deal with this garbage all too often here. Itās not worth my time. The quality of shopping here is BAD and I have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNo one ever acknowledges me when I come in here & I'm shopping which is quite often. Only time I have had someone do that was when they seen me pull a pack old light bulbs out my purse to make sure I was getting the right size for our display lights. Only then is when I had associates coming from every which way to "help" me. Two stayed extremely close as they were just so conveniently fixing stuff on all the shelves on each aisle I went down so I had them find me every item I needed off my list even though I knew where everything else because i buy it from here all the time since they wanted to make it seem like I was stealing my own pack of opened blown out bulbs. My last & final straw was Saturday, I went to get a specific size of blinds for a customer in one of my companies office spaces. Guy at the front door spoke & handed a flyer to everyone that came through the door but me. No big deal I guess! Get to the blind department the two guys sitting at the desk having a full conversation was bothered about none of the customers until i finally asked for one of them to cut my blinds. He tried to tell me I wasn't looking for things good enough & that the size 42' width I needed should already be in a box to sell. He was WRONG! not my first time buying these blinds nor having them cut to what I need. After 15 minutes of him looking to check for his own sake & taking the blinds i needed cut out the box he finally says he was fairly new & didn't know how to work the machine so he had to get someone else to help me. 30 minutes pass by of me standing at the back of the store only to come around the corner to see no one in sight. 10 minutes later someone comes & says they can help only to NOT help. Says the blinds i had should already be on the shelf in the size I was wanting. Again had to take 10 minutes to prove to his self that he was WRONG! Then proceeds to cut my blinds only to stop & tell me they cant be cut! Asked for a manager which took another 20 minutes, after this time I'm upset & out of patience as I have a customer waiting on me to get them blinds & I have been wasting time here rather then back at work! As I started to walk towards the door a manager finally appears. I told them don't even worry about it & left with no blinds for my customer. My company spends a lot of money here only to get this lack of customer service. I will now take our company card & go to Lowe's for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would like to share my experience at Home Depot on Spring Cypress and 290 in Cypress Texas. Yesterday went to pick up a pro order of fence pickets and 2 by 4s, about $800 worth. I had came about 4 hrs earlier to place and pay for the order and the Pro Shop guy told me it would be ready in a couple of hrs. I told him I would come back around 6pm. When I did, I was told by the customer service desk that the order was not pulled yet. This was a major problem for me as I had crew coming in the morning to install it and could only do it tomorrow. I told the customer service desk lady I had to have it now. Frank Tute, a service center asst manager there stepped in and explained that the reason it was not pulled yet was because it was scheduled for pick up 2 days from now in the computer system. That actually many other customers were before me on the schedule, due to current orders in the system, and I should have been told that by the Pro Shop. Frank Tute then said he would personally handle this and have his team pull it asap. I was amazed how quick he took action and he actually personally assisted loading it into my truck. I really appreciate his efficient service and professionalism throughout. He did not have to do that, but understood my problem and took action immediately. He struck me as an excellent manager, a person who sees the bigger picture of long term customer loyalty. I have worked with and trained many managers, Having a thriving family business of my own i can tell you that Frank is among the best and makes Home Depot really shine with the way he resolves issues. Frank Tute definitely could manage an entire Home Depot store in my opinion and make it a top earner in your Home Depot franchise! I will defintely come back and share this amazing experience with my family, my employees, and my church...
