My partner and I had hoped this tiny place would be a hidden gem, but we're honestly disappointed with our experience. Regardless, the food was good, especially for the price. Both pastas we tried were nice, and the spinach artichoke dip had really great flavor. Try the basil gorgonzola dressing, our server described it perfectly when she said it was like a pesto sauce. I was hesitant because I'm picky about blue cheeses, but it was a very subtle and unobjectionable flavor note, even for me. The house red we selected was Costco storebrand, which while it's not bad, is not what one expects at a place named after a region of Italy. The wine was served at much higher than recommended temperature, feeling warm on the lips with a boozy bite. While I'm generally against adding ice to wine, watered down was an improvement to how we received it. It's understandable with this crazy hot summer that the restaurant is warm, but it would be nice to see the wines stored in a chiller so they were closer to standard cellar temps rather than near 80°F. Other than that, the temperature of the restaurant was managed well: while the speed of ice melting suggested it was quite warm, the swamp coolers made it feel quite comfortable even in long sleeves.

Edit: Oct/Nov 2019 Please post your hours on the door!! It seems like they no longer offer lunch. I've attempted to go for lunch on 3 occasions in the past month. Even though the hours on Google maps say it is open for lunch, I've arrived to a "closed" sign on the door and no hours posted. Simply not reliable to go there for lunch so I've gone to Norma's each time instead. Original review: This restaurant has a wonderful, cozy atmosphere and knowledgeable wait staff. I really liked the garlic bread brought to our table. It was clearly freshly cut with garlic sauce toasted on it. I ordered the angel hair with capers and especially liked the Alfredo sauce. It was a perfect consistency and the angel hair was exactly al dente as it should be. The house salad was delicious, not a single piece of ice berg lettuce. The tomatoes were juicy and tasty, and the house sauce was delicious.

Had a dinner with my family (mom and brother). The atmosphere was so cute and cozy we sat in the back room with the fireplace and christmas lights personally loved that. My mom ordered the soup of the day which was a lobster soup it was divine so creamy and tasty. My brother ordered the spaghetti with the meat sauce was so delicious! The Alfredo wasn’t all that great it was very basic in my opinion. I ordered the seafood lasagna 10/10 devoured every bite. To end our meal we ordered a latte and tiramisu omg was so good! Only down side was the lack of charisma from our server, and also we ate our dessert with a pile of our finished dishes on the end of our table ! Other than that definitely recommend for an affordable and delicious dinner !

I am astounded at the good reviews for this place! I guess that some folks like microwaved dishes & frozen food with components that are past their prime. We ordered the Fritto Misto as an appetizer. It had frozen calamari rings (not freshly made calamari), some frozen shrimp, and some weak crinkle-cut fries topped with a little bit of cheap grated parm & truffle oil. Awful! I had the Bolognese Lasagna & my wife had the Seafood Lasagna. We were both astounded by the mushy texture of the dishes and their tired appearance. The Bolognese, if you can call it that, was a separated mix of over cooked meat, some tomatoes, and some oddly crunchy frozen carrot pieces. To make matters worse it was cold in the middle. Thus, I sent it back to the kitchen, and expected a refreshed plate to return. Nope. It came back to the table looking the same as before. This is when the texture of our dishes made sense, they were microwaved. With that in mind, my wife's horribly mushy Seafood Lasagna made sense. The dish was supposed to be topped with a Lobster Bisque sauce, this tasted super strange with an overwhelming citrus note for some reason. It was probably a doctored up old frozen version of Lobster Bisque the that the cook had tried to make passable. Also, the crab cake on top was over cooked and probably frozen too. The dishes sounded good on the menu, but the extremely poor quality ingredients and lazy weak execution made them shamefully poor. This was a try-out for my wife and I so we chalked this up to a bad choice of restaurants for the night. We should have called BS on this place, but we did not want to ruin our night. Afterwards, I am regretting that we paid good money for this awful food. We feel like we got ripped off, we paid good money for piss poor dishes at this fake Italian Restaurant. The owner should be ashamed of himself for passing those dishes off as real Italian food. We could have just gone to the grocery store and gotten frozen...

Warm, casual, intimate, fresh, & delicious.

I’ve been sitting on the recommendation to check out Abruzzo’s for months and finally took a dive. Wow! Should have been here months ago. Beyond the remarkable food, the cozy atmosphere and attentive staff added to the overall experience. The intimate setting created a welcoming ambiance that made me feel right at home. The staff seemed to genuinely enjoy what they were serving and it showed.

For starters, the side salad was a genuine highlight. The freshness of the greens was undeniable, and the homemade salad dressing elevated it to new heights.

The lasagna with bolognese was a true revelation. My wife would only let me taste it but the way she was protecting the rest, it says a lot about her choice. Layers of tender pasta, rich meat sauce, and creamy cheese came together to create a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate. Like the other items we tried, the lasagna was balanced and fresh.

I had the salmon (cooked medium) over angel hair pasta and capers with a side of grilled shrimp. My mouth is watering writing this review. It doesn’t hurt that I saved some for lunch the next day either.

Great food coupled with a warm atmosphere and exceptional service, Abruzzo’s is an absolute must-visit for any lover of authentic Italian cuisine.

I apologize for the lack of pics. The environment and food distracted me to the point where I pretty much left my phone face down on the table until it was time...

Abruzzos used to be a GREAT place, food and service so can understand good reviews and for past few months; the bad ones. There was a server, manager, bartender, busboy “all in one”; he did a phenomenal job being attentive to customers and taking care of their every need. The food was hot and outstanding. I’d visit often. Once I took entire team from work and the 13 of us loved it!

Few months later, went back and worst food had ever received at any Italian restaurant. Shrimp scampi was so oily swimming in grease; couldn’t taste the shrimp or butter. Noodles soggy. Spaghetti meat sauce had oddest taste; like something medicinal and greasy. Simply awful. Server told me they had a new cook. Something was amiss like never before. He brought out a different batch and it was worse than the first; a ruby red odd color that was once a bright orange red. YUK To look at and eat.

I went back 2 weeks later giving one last try; ordered same thing and SAME issue. Was evident former cooks not there and new ones had no clue about cooking or recipes. Was really disappointed that a fave I loved and recommended to many had lost its way. Hope they recover if still operating. Gave 3 stars for the past service from the guy whose name I think was Mike. He deserved a 5+. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s gone too like the former good food. Food last I ate there year ago deserved a zero...
