Alexandre's — Restaurant in Dallas

Horrible experience today. Came with 2 other people with the idea of getting the Buffalo Mac and Cheese and a few drinks. The buffalo Mac and cheese is actually really good. It was the whole intention of our visit. Well…. They were out. Understandable, but every time I come they’re out of something, whether it’s a food item, or a drink on tap.

The bar tender suggested the shrimp scampi instead. He said it was really good, so I decided to go with it. It was alright, but not up to the hype he made it out to be. My food took about 30 minutes to come out, not horrible, but ehhh…. Also didn’t tell me the price difference, so I spent several more dollars than what I had intended. Not an issue but still a $20 item shouldn’t be the fist suggested substitute for a $12 item without that disclaimer.

Also it would be better to serve shrimp with its tails already removed.

The other two people in my party didn’t get their food until 50 minutes later for one, and AN HOUR AND 20 MINUTES FOR THE OTHER.

The Philly cheesesteak was only meat on dry bread. Not very good.

The chicken sandwich also came out bland, and the fries were hard as a rock.

Also, the table we were sitting at suddenly became the community water table. In the middle of our visit, someone came over and plopped down a huge cooler for water for the entire restaurant, and filled it up. There are several more empty tables in the place, but he chose our actively occupied table to become the community water station. So we spent the entire hour and a half constantly being interrupted by people coming to our table to get water. How about putting it literally anywhere else….

While waiting the egregiously long amount of time for our food, which we ordered in sequence, we saw other people who ordered after us getting theirs first.

I get you’re short staffed, and it’s not the fault of those employees who were working, but management should staff more than one person in...

Disappointing Experience with Garret at Alexandres Bar

My recent visit to Alexandres Bar left a sour taste in my mouth, courtesy of the abysmal service provided by Garret. Despite his lackluster performance, he had the audacity to berate us for what he deemed an insufficient tip.

From the moment we stepped in, Garret's demeanor was less than welcoming. His service was sluggish, and it seemed like our presence was more of an inconvenience than an opportunity to provide hospitality.

Not only was Garret rude throughout our time there, but his entitled attitude towards tipping was downright appalling. Instead of reflecting on his own performance and understanding that better service equates to better tips, he chose to lash out at us, the customers, for his own shortcomings.

In any establishment, customer service should be paramount, yet Garret failed to grasp this concept entirely. His behavior tainted what could have been an enjoyable evening, and I would caution anyone considering visiting Alexandres Bar to steer clear of Garret's section if they value even a modicum of respect...

One of the few places in the area with LIVE entertainment, great food and craft cocktails.

Used to be smaller but didn't matter, everyone that loves that place including myself, fit there no matter what! Now expanded and has a lot more room and a great patio that goes out in the middle of Cedar Springs so you can sit down under a colorful umbrella and look Chic while people watching since is such a busy strip! The owner and crew are amazing and they ve got the experience! Most have been there for over a decade! Yes! Is the place where EVERYBODY knows your name! I can't recommend an specific dish because I love it all! No joke.

Try and go on Thursday nights and be wonderfully amazed of their so out of this world performance Live by Vero Voz and Juan Angel Rodriguez! Dance 50's Boleros , Disco, Salsa, Greatest hits and Pop music, etc!

-Trust me ...is contagious ! I ve been there several times and didn't want to go...
