Ok the food was excellent and on point! Kudos to the cook. First time there and ill come back for the food. The place was clean and nice environment. The salsa was not what i expected. I didnt think it was gonna be hot. Thought the entire meal I was sweating and took my jacket off I was sweating. Lol. But it was DELISH so again kudos to the cook. Now this is where they definitely need improving and the reason for my 1 star. The service was really bad! The waitress from the beginning took about 12 minutes to recieve menus. Another 10 minutes for drinks and this is after getting the chips and salsa that was so hot we needed our drinks. Again the salsa isn't the issue. That was excellent. We needed our drinks and out waitress was choosing other priorities instead of taking care of the tables or us. I kept looking at her from afar and she just stareed back and continued doing whatever else she was doing. I had to get up ask for our drinks and get them myself. I had to get up 3 more times because she wouldn't come to our table. Now I started to wonder why is she working or do they not work on tips?? I couldn't belive it. I had to go back twice and ask for more chips. The 2nd time I had to ask i said and our chips? And she says oh but we have to charge. I said ok. That's fine what ever. Just can I have chips??? She was not great customer service she needs more training. Anytime through the course of the meal if I needed refills, napkins, limes I had to get up and ask!!!! I still tipped her and I shouldn't have. The service was horrible. They weren't busy at all. There were 2 other tables and one of them was sitting for a long time without service as well. I rarely take the time and energy to write reviews, in fact this is prob my first review in years. I’m an easily satisfied person & I don’t walk around w big expectations of most places. This restaurant is right around the corner from me and I had read the reviews prior to mine. Today I decided to try this place to make dinner easier for me tonight the disappointment began once I brought the food home, to see that the tacos are small and small portioned, the flavor was nice on the chicharron ones at least, I also ordered a Large which looks like it comes in a regular size 12 oz soda cup with about I’d guess anywhere from 10-13 shrimp in it and half the cup was juice. I ordered a birria huarache and camarones en birria (shrimp in birria juice) Big let down with the shrimp. It tasted like they were straight from the Great Value bag at Walmart in all seriousness. Like they just took some leftover sauce and boiled it the shrimp in it for 5 mins and served it. With each bite I took my stomach was getting more and more upset. All this for $43 which I thought was worth it at the moment and felt scammed once I got home. In summary. I’m disappointed in my experience bc I had read only positive reviews and was expecting a positive experience. Not too good of an experience. I ordered the QuesaBirria Taco Plate to go through the caviar page as the restaurants website directs you elsewhere to order online. Starting with my pickup.. I told the person at counter I was there for a pickup order. I was asked if it was DoorDash in which I replied “yes, I ordered through DoorDash” and was told I need my phone to pick up the order as though I was a DoorDash delivery person. I went back to my car to get my phone and when I came back in they didn’t even look at it. There was confusion behind the counter with what was going on as there were two orders sitting there with my name on them. I only ordered once and tried showing them my receipt on caviar that shows I only purchased once and to prove that has nothing to do with me. After much hesitation I was finally given my food. Now here’s my review of the food…. These Quesa birria tacos are incredibly basic and bland. They have no flavor beyond the meat itself and the corn tortilla. The consome tastes and looks like watered down beef broth with some cilantro in it. I read through reviews on this place before ordering and decided against my better judgment to go ahead and give it a try. I’ll never go back to this place nor would I recommend to anyone else.
