Tacos Y Mas — Restaurant in Dallas

I REALLY HOPE THE OWNER(S) READS THIS. To start the employees looked confused as soon anyone comes through the door offering no kind of greeting maybe only to regulars (or if you consider an awkward stare until you know what you want to order a greeting). The manager is NEVER there for one reason or another ( I know this because I and other family members have tried to resolve issues to no avail) which leads me to believe the OWNER has lost any and all interest in keeping this location up to par with other better locations I'm sure are out there. This place needs a serious full refresh in management and staff. The food is okay if you're used to getting leftovers coming out of a microwave that match the tasteless attitude of the employees working there when you tell them something's wrong with your order. The cooks have no regards for what they're putting out, no passion which definitely equals to quality being absent everytime something goes out. Maybe they do get it right some days but I really don't know and another thing I don't know is how fresh there food can really be if the cooks don't care. Make no mistake just because your food is hot does NOT make it fresh. I love food, I love cooking and I would hope when I want to leave the cooking in someone else's hands that they would be clean and passionate as I am... And this place is one of those unfortunately sad places that lacks the professional service they advertise. Let me say this first, I have been to every Tacos y Mas in the Dallas area so I was excited to found out there was this one near me.

Walked in at 9pm on a Friday and there was only one table. The lady (Samantha it think was her name) came out of the back like she was mad she had to work and asked what I wanted. I asked for 3 beef fajita street tacos and she tried to charge me $4.99 a piece. I asked why they were so expensive compared to the other Tacos y Mas and she’s like “oh you want the street tacos?” Yeah…that’s what I ordered.

Now the reason I like Taxos y Mas is for the salsa bar. This one only had 3 available So she brought me 3 small containers and I was waiting for my food by the salsa bar. She came out from the kitchen “is there something I can help you with? Why are you waiting there?” I asked if I could have a couple of more containers for salads and she said she would have to charge me. I have NEVER had to pay extra for salsa at any Tacos Y Mas. I’ve never been in one where the staff was so rude. I could hear her laughing and playing in the back with other staff so maybe she was mad I interrupted her or didn’t tip on a togo order.

Now for the food….The tacos were very bland and not like any other Taxos y Mas I’ve been too. Next time I’ll go to Taxco #2 in the area. They’re a lot nicer and don’t charge extra for salsa for tacos

I ordered for me and my co-workers. We were missing 2 Elotes. I called beforehand, because Elote was not on the online menu and the manager said to place an order for 3 Tres Leches cakes and put Elote in description. Okay fine. I get my food delivered, NO ELOTES. The food was EVERYWHERE all over the box. Taco meat was EVERYWHERE. One of my co-workers went to the store to get the Elotes and the woman spoke to her like she was lying about getting them. She basically said everything except outright call her a liar. The employee proceeded to call her boss and then she said that her boss said "Its okay for this time". What!? Its okay for me this time to get the food that I paid for? Are you serious? I will never order from this place again. Lets also add how the beef tasted like it had been reheated and the Elotes when we did get them were watery. A little tip if you want to eat here, don't expect great service because you will not get it. The women are rude and accusatory instead of polite and eager to fix their mistakes for a paying customer. With this staff, I don't see this location lasting long, which is sad because it does have potential. Door dash refunded me my order once I told them what happened, and I will never...
