This place used to be my favorite mariscos restaurant...that is...until my visit today. I usually order the mariscos in the pina (dont remember menu name for it). I was disappointed to see that it was no longer being offered on the menu. I went ahead and ordered the Chapazon ( for 1)....the plate was just a small portion of seafood mixture in the center of the plate with slices of orages and cucumbers around the edge of plate, not to mention the food temperature was lukewarm....nothing really to it and definitely not worth the $16.99 I paid. My kids ordered off the lunch menu and they both said their refried beans weren't hot so I taste tested and sure enough they weren't...same temp as my plate. I asked the waitress if the menu had been changed and she said yes. They apparently trialed some menu items and did away with the more unpopular ones. Personally, I wish they had kept the old menu since this new one leaves a lot...
Read moreCame in on Mexican Mother’s Day. The waitress was very nice however one of the manager was horrible. They claimed my mother was being rude to the waitress. I cannot confirm or deny that since I wasn’t there at that moment. The manager made our waitress give us our check in order to intimidate us to leave when half the party haven’t even ordered. Instead of having the balls to speak to us she sent our server to fight her battle. When I spoke to the the manager, she was rude and wouldn’t let me talk just kept taking over me and when I tried to tell her I’ve let her speak and to let me speak she ignored me. First time going definitely the last. The food was okay and the “queso” was 6.50 for the canned cheese you get at Walmart. What a joke. I’ve worked in food service and I understand standing up for your employees but not like that, especially when you make the server be...
Read moreOne star for the okay service and the other for the okay drinks. I just can’t bring myself to give this place 3 stars or higher because the flavor of the food is lacking in all aspects and I highly recommend eating anywhere else. I ordered shrimp in garlic and received something like garlic butter soup, heavy on the minced garlic. That might be the only seasoning used actually. Everything on my plate ended up soaked in garlic butter but the actual flavor of the dish was just not there. My husband ordered a seafood tower and it was just dry shredded pieces of random seafood smashed together. It wasn’t a fresh dish like ceviche, which is what it would normally be served as. It was heavier and tasted more like chicken tinga with a thick sweet sauce. Overall we were just really disappointed with the food and wish we hadn’t spent so much money giving this...
