Los Rancheros Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Dallas

This wasn’t first visit here. We were a party of 17. We were greeted my the valet and they were really nice. Then we were seated on the patio. We got Norma as our server. Idk how many tables per server management gives but if you know you have a party of 17 you should pay extra care on them. She took our drinks and our order. She brought our drinks wrong. Our plates were brought by a food runner but he just placed the plates on a stand and left. We had to wait for the server to show up. The food got cold. Not all the plates came at the same time and were brought intermittent. They brought some carafes with soda to avoid refilling drinks. This can be smart but this time the soda didn’t have gas. You can imagine the taste. Some people ordered steaks but were left because the meat was really tough. One guest ordered menudo and after the whole table was served she mentioned that they were out of menudo. On top of that they added 18% service charge. I understand that is Friday night and that a 17 top table can be challenging but management and servers are not ready for this amount of people. My friend and I used to go to their old location years ago all the time and it was SO GOOD, him with his family and me with mine. This was my 2nd time trying the new location and it's just different. From the food, the service and the atmosphere are not as friendly or homely like it used to be. It's more texmex than it used to be and the Pina colada was not good at all. We had every intention on staying for a few drinks after dinner but we couldn't even eat all of our food cause the band was WAY TOO LOUD. I love live bands but this was too much. They were off stage and following groups from standing by the door to surrounding tables and yelling into the microphone. They were good but ENTIRELY TOO LOUD. The woman had a beautiful voice but the guy was yelling so loud in the microphone that we couldn't hear eachother talk so we left. The speaker should have been turned down or SOMETHING. There were only about 6 tables of people and almost closing time. There was just no reason for them to be so loud. We both agreed that we gave the new spot 2 chances each and won't be back. I sure appreciate all the awesome food and service back in the day though! I have memories with my family from the old spot that I'll never...

The only good thing about this place is that its a new building so everything is nice and new and clean. The bar looks awesome but it's expensive to drink here and theres alot of tvs to watch.

The manager was an absolute jerk when i brought all the problems i was having to his attention which included: terrible service, dirty silver wareamd dirty table nobody came to clean once, and my order came out wrong on top of all this!

My waitress said they would make me a new order and i said sure fine ... IT WAS THE SAME EXACT PLATE SHE TOOK AWAY WITH THE SAME EXACT FOOD!!! HOW DO I KNOW ??? IT STILL HAD BITE MARKS IN IT !!!!! SHE LIED AND LATER CONFESSED AND TOLD ME SHE PUT IT UNDER A HOT LAMP

The manager told me this is unique and its never happened before so maybe just this time he would let us go but next time we have to pay.

There will be no next time, ever. If yiu want mexican food there is literally 5 other spots on ever corner of this intersection that are much better.
