Fruteria Cano — Restaurant in Dallas

This place is horrible! I went here for the first time with my son and his girlfriend to treat them.

When we walked in the place, it seemed to have great options and we were actually excited that we may have found a new place to come to for fresh fruit.

Unfortunately, one of the employees (blond hair, wearing a white cap with a lot of makeup) was so raciest and rude upon our ordering (as my Spanish isn’t that great, being that English is my first language). Mind you I am half Spanish and half Mexican, born and raised in America. I wasn’t raised speaking Spanish, but at least I’ve taken the initiative to try and learn Spanish on my own. Not to mention, my trying to order in Spanish!

She was blatantly mistreating us in front of others, so bad that other people in line were questioning how she was mistreating us too.

As a Spanish/Mexican American, I have been treated like this by more people in my own community because I have green eyes, light skin and cannot speak Spanish fluently, than any other community. Our people must do better because this is embarrassing and unacceptable!

In my opinion, employees like this should NOT be in the customer service industry period! DO NOT GO HERE, especially if you cannot speak...

If giving zero stars was possible the place had a big menu which was nice but when it was our turn order one of the ladies that was working there was just talking on the phone while the other lady was preparing our order we asked her for a taco fruit which consisted of fruit and ice cream scoops and I clearly pointed at it she had already put the fruit on the to go tray i asked about the ice cream and both of the employees started talking really soft and told me I should have stated that I wanted ice because now they would have to use a different container?? I told them I said it three different times and even pointed at the image on the menu how do you work there and not know what something on your menu includes and not acknowledge I said what I wanted on it three times they really didn't have professional customer service...

My husband order 2 corn in a cup, this young girl with curly hair took our order and she over add too much mayonnaise on our corn and hot sauce not sure if she did it on purpose but when I took the cups back to her and claim in a nice way she gave me her attitude and answered me back in a bad way, I been coming to this place for more than 10 years but I’m so disappointed of ya having this kind of people working rude, the older lady she was nice and apologized for the girl attitude I hope ya don’t lose customers having this kind of rude...
