Day 1: The Customer Service: Ran across this place through Uber Eats. I love a good chicken and waffle and the early opening hours were very attractive! Food was ready fairly quickly. When I arrived, no one was there to greet me. Instead, they have a neat little system that allows you to scan your receipt to retrieve your meal from a locker. My locker wouldn’t open for some reason so I had to call out for someone. After a few calls, a gentleman arrived who was apologetic and handed me my order.
The Food: The portion size is pretty spot on! The waffles were fluffy with chew. The powder sugar weighed it down a bit and there was a bit of an oily taste. To be fair, my food sat about 10-15 minutes before I was able to get to it. The chicken was flavorful, the kind of flavor you can taste 12 hours later when you belch. They too were a little greasy and I could stand for them to be cooked a tad bit longer. Still, amazing flavor and juicy. Although the food sat (to not fault of theirs) the food was still hot when I got it.
The pricing: The price of this dish and a bottled iced latte was $28.56. I’m a person who doesn’t mind paying for what she wants but 6 wings, 4 waffle triangles and an iced latte for $30 bucks is a little pricey for an everyday breakfast spot. It’s more of a “Treat Yourself” takeout type of place. Overall, I would recommend it! Would revisit JUST for the early opening hours!
Day 2: Today we ordered the French toast and chicken. 2 plates totaled about $50 bucks. I took it to go and headed home. Once again, service was quick and this time my locker worked! Here’s where it goes left…The French Toast: Bland, custard clearly not soaked through and what little did get on the bread was tasteless. Big slices but needed all of the toppings that come with it to taste remotely decent. Speaking of toppings, for 2 orders, we received ONE Togo condiment container of each topping and the container wasn’t even half filled! On to the chicken, I specifically asked for WELL DONE on my order. My husband put his back in the air fryer for 15 minutes and STILL got what you see below. Had to give it to the dog. Meat was seasoned well like before but chewy and rubbery, soft and just on the cusp of undercooked. I experienced this the day before as well. Can’t say that I’d be willing to spend another penny here, which is unfortunate because I really...
Read moreI had been hearing about this place, and we are still getting to know our way around, so we finally made it on a Monday morning at about 11 am. It was almost seated fully, bt the establishment was, while clean, it was on the small side. They have some booths a few for larger parties and tables. They also offer community seating as an option.
We were asked if we minded sitting with others to be seated faster, which we did because we just wanted to eat and it looked as If it would of been a longer wait for a personal table with that we were seated within 10min.
We sat with another couple who didn't seem to truly want to do the community seating bt opted to so they didn't have to wait. So that makes it a little awkward because only a condiment holder is separating the guest. You can't really converse because you have company ( we all know how we are about our business, lol ).
I got the lamb chops that came with eggs and home fries i added a piece of catfish, my wife had steak and eggs it came with home fries as well and a piece of toast to drink we had watermelon lemonade ( so good ). The server was pleasant and answered all questions. Food came out at about the 20 - 25-min mark. The food overall was good. I have to be honest. The lamb chops were an ok size, but I have had better lamb chops for the price. They were tender, bt the flavor was OK again. longhorns lamb chops are better, so there that. My wife's steak was good bt was too heavy on the seasoning for her liking, I personally thought the seasoning was ok, but I'm also a if I can't taste it, it's not seasoned person.
Overall, I would suggest it bt dnt expect like the best breakfast you ever had. It's good food. The catfish was very good. I said I should have just gotten a fried basket. I live in mesquite. I wouldn't drive back 30 minutes to return, bt I would suggest it if you have never been or if you're...
Read moreI decided to try something new and I was very disappointed. I ordered the tacos with red velvet waffles and a side of potatoes. It’s a pick up location so you just go in and pick up your order out of a locker. It was a little confusing because you’re supposed to type a code or your name to receive your order and when I typed in the order number and my name there was nothing popping up. I waited until I saw someone coming from the back to put food in the locker to ask about my order. The red velvet waffles are what caught my eye.Potatoes were good, but were $6.25 which is a little high for an Al a carte side of potatoes. The waffle was soaked in grease and tasted like grease, as well as the tenders. My order was made incorrectly in the beginning and when I returned for a refund they just remade my order. But even with the first picture, I don’t feel as if paying $17 dollars for this meal that the presentation was there. Also I was missing toppings. The waffle is supposed to come with strawberries, cream, Carmel sauce, and syrup. I only received the Carmel sauce and the syrup. I appreciated that my order was remade to become how it was supposed to be but I don’t appreciate having to wait for it and I don’t appreciate the food just tasting like grease. I can literally squeeze my waffle together and see the grease coming out. Can literally see the grease piled up in the corner of my plate. Very disappointed and...
