While I am not an artist, I am someone who greatly appreciates art beyond what words can accurately describe. I jump on the chance to experience new art, especially in my city! I followed one of the artists on IG and when he began posting about Gallery DeFi, I was instantly intrigued, especially when I realized it was in Dallas. I began following the Gallery on IG and was glad I did because I was able to follow along as the founders and artists made progress in what they were building for the Dallas art scene. It was incredible to see the transformation of the Gallery, and once tickets became available for their opening, I had to get mine and grabbed my ticket for opening night because I couldn’t wait to see their hard work come to fruition.

When I showed up opening night and tell you I was blown away, that is a gross understatement. As true appreciator of art, I was so moved by the blood, sweat, and tears that likely went into the development of this concept. As soon as you walk in, you are immediately blown away, and it only gets better and better the more you see. I spent about three hours at the Gallery (I went by myself the first time to take it all in). My first round was simply to take a first glance at everything, second was to learn more about the art and artists and installation, and then the third was to take pictures. Gallery DeFi provides one of the most unique opportunities to take breathtaking photos – and I mean from anywhere in the Gallery. The bathrooms are even covered in remarkable collages that are photo worthy!

Another remarkable aspect of the experience at Gallery DeFi is that the artists and founders are actually there, in house, to greet you, offer beverages, and to offer to give you more than just a quick rundown of what is there but to answer questions and personally show you the art. My first time there was so good that I went back another day at a different time (they had added some things, so glad I did), and then a third time where I took my son with me. We both love street art/murals/graffiti, so the Gallery offers an opportunity to see some of that in a safe way, which I liked for his experience. Not only that, but they treated him so well – not like a kid but like an appreciator of art, and he really appreciated that! He walked away feeling like a VIP because of how intimate of an experience it was for him being able to connect with the artists themselves.

Each visit to the Gallery has been unique, and overall, I cannot recommend Gallery DeFi enough. This place has shaken up the Dallas art scene by providing a truly immersive and accessible experience that no other Gallery has pinned down quite like they have, not to mention the hospitality. They should be so proud of what they have created in our wonderful city and what they are providing to the...

Me and two other friends went to visit this location to celebrate a birthday. The greeter was very pleasant and informative. Everyone needs someone like her! The art was beautiful and for sale, as there were price tags around all displays. As I was taking a photo next to a guitar piece, a white male decided to tell me to move back, as that piece was $185,000 dollars. I wasn’t touching any part of it, as you respect the artistry. He repeated himself asking me to step back due to the price of the object. Other people were around standing next to other artwork. He didn’t mention the price to them or asked them to move. Upon looking around, I noticed we were the only black patrons. When we were leaving, the lovely lady at the front asked about our experience. That same man came out while I was explaining the horrific treatment I received- he wanted to let me know he was the OWNER. Even worse. Black people can display their artwork in your exhibit but not patronize it- don’t stand too close, we don’t have the money huh? I support ALL art but I don’t support prejudice or racism…especially when I have to pay to get in. It will be Target all over again. I’ll be telling...

Gallery Defi is a one of a kind, artistic immersive experience. The artwork in the space was exceptional, colorful and filled with personality. It’s the perfect spot for any event (if you’re into artistic stimulation). I had so much fun attending the venue and was overwhelmed with how hospitable and generous the owners, Kyle, Travis and Trey were. From personalizing DeFi merch, to taking out trash, and helping move items to the car they were personable and went above and beyond to make sure everyone had an over the top, positive experience. The night indelibly impacted me. So excited for...
