Cheba Hut Dallas Preston would be a great hang out work place if they did have the owner they do.. Jasmine is an out of control, unprofessional, ill-equipped businesswoman and boss. Jasmine discriminates against darker toned women, and some men in the workplace by showing favoritism to the remaining male employees, and whoever will allow her to speak to them crazy. Jasmine often drinks at the bar, and then comes into the kitchen to mess with the employees while on shift (there is a GREAT shift lead) so there is never a need for her to come in the kitchen (especially while drinking). On Friday, February 23rd, 2024, I was at work, prepping foods for the next shift for the following day, when Jasmine, again leaves the bar area with her Husband, where she has been drinking and indulging into Karaoke night, to tell me to wash dishes before I leave… Here is the problem, 1. I closed that night, so I was not leaving anytime soon, 2. there were 5-6 other people on the same shift who she literally walked past to get to me (I was all the way in the back of the kitchen), 3. Since Jasmine and I already had somewhat of a “back and forth” about my schedule prior to working with her AND she took me off the schedule for a week, even going so far as to terminate employment without notice. I truly believe this was her time to shine.
Jasmine and I began to argue back and forth while customers were in the lobby, and at the bar. Jasmine walks over to her husband as we are still arguing as if she was telling him to remove me from the shop… luckily for him and the NFL did not get up :).
All and all, if you are seeking employment, I urge you to do so else where. Cheba Preston-Dallas under the leadership of Jasmine Chaney is not a fun joyful environment. It is very hostile, disrespectful, anxiety inducing, and overall not a conducive work...
Read moreLet me start by saying that I absolutely adore your concept and food. My kids and I eat here very regularly which is why today's interaction left me very confused and disappointed.
My son and I arrived about 5:40pm to order dinner. We waited at the counter to order. The large guy that arrived to help was very short saying that we'd need to wait to order. Then disappeared to the back. We waited for a while and another smaller guy came to help. He mentioned that the internet was down and it world take a moment. Then the larger got came back, tapped at the register. Then he rudely said that he'd need 10 minutes and truffle said can yall go sit down, acting like we were inconveniencing him. I told him his attitude sucked and that we'd leave. I walked out the front door.
If he'd could have explained the situation politely, maybe offered us some drinks to wait while he figured things out, we'd have been happy and works have waited, but his attitude decided for us that we wouldn't eat there today, or again if he's still there.
I had noticed and made eye contact with the bartender while inside, we'd talked previously and was very nice. Because of this, I decided to go talk to her to let her know what happened.
While talking to her, he started shouting across the restaurant from the register to the bar to "say it to my face". I'm not sure why he was so aggressive.
Unfortunately, with an individual like this in your establishment, I no longer feel safe coming in to eat. My kids will be disappointed too. I sincerely hope that you can correct this, either that or maybe that your employee can simply have...
Read moreI always enjoy going to or ordering from cheba hut through doordash. I’ve never really had any issues or “complaints”, but last night I was slightly disappointed. They had advertised that it was trivia night last night, and that’s the only reason I went in instead of ordering on doordash like I had planned to do. I order like usual and proceed to the bar area where I like to sit because I also wanted a drink. Having come here so often, I can say now it really depends on who the bartender is because most of the time whoever is doing the drinks will approach where I’m sitting and ask if everything is okay, ask if I want to order a drink, or both. The person there last night did neither so I needed to going back to the counter and getting a cup for a fountain drink and I moved from the bar area because I didn’t want to sit there anymore because of that. Back to trivia night, when advertised they said it would be for 7pm-9pm. I got there a little bit after 8, and they weren’t doing any trivia or activity at all, so it was basically a wasted trip. Maybe they did it closer to 7 or not enough people came or whatever, but it was advertised 7-9 and when I arrived I expected to be doing some trivia with other customers and the employees because they are really nice when I go there. If I go on “trivia night” and nothing was going on during the time they said, then it wouldn’t make sense to go to the karaoke night they are having on Friday 1/19 also at 7-9. I think I will take a short break from going in and ordering because this...
