I adore places like this. Owned by Chef Reye Duong, who owned the best banh mi shop in Dallas. Sandwich Hag. She makes the most bold and unique coffee that transports you outside of the chaotic Dallas city vibe. The place as far as looks goes, shows out. The colors are pleasing and well kept. Beautiful homages to personal family and viet culture. Got the Ceder Saigon (pandan Viet coffee) so good. The sweet of the Pandan wasn’t overbearing and very pleasant with the dark bold flavor of well roasted viet coffee. With that refreshing and awakening beverage, I enjoyed a banh mi bagel. The pickled radish and carrot with the honey ham and the flavors of an everything bagel were a party in my mouth. This bagel is the coolest and most unique combo of flavors. It’s not dry. Not heavy, but refreshing and satisfying. The chef acknowledged me and made me feel so welcomed to the shop as well. Got the rainbow bagel that is so vibrant but also extremely flavorful. With the Honey Agave Schmear and the Almond Schmear. It’s a 10/10 experience for a sweeter bagel lover. So please I finally made time to go to this shop and enjoy such a high quality breakfast. GO HERE! This is a MUST GO!

Update: Came here for the Nam Mocha egg crème with coconut shavings and chocolate shavings. The Banh mi sandwich revived my soul. Loved the house-made ingredients!Including pickled veggies like Daikon and Carrot. Perfectly crunchy with the seasoned spam that isn’t too over powering cause of the creamy and delicious sauce. I love how consistent this chef harmonizes her flavors. 10/10, gonna keep craving this even MORE. Didn’t even know that...

Unique Vietnamese coffee shop in downtown Dallas. Kinda off the beaten path, I honestly missed the entrance the first time and had to turn back but it does have its own little parking area that's free! The owner was super nice and great at explaining the coffees with their different notes and helping make recommendations. I got the cedar Saigon which was a Vietnamese coffee with a Pandan coconut hot foam on top. It was so good and my favorite out of the 3 drinks I bought. The pandan flavor came through and was such a nice balance with the coffee. Also got the coconut coffee which was slightly thicker in consistency. I felt like the coconut flavor was so light I almost didn't even detect it. But the coffee is still so good. Lastly, I got the iced egg coffee which had the coconut coffee base, egg foam on top with coconut shavings on top. It was sweet, delicious, and the coconut flavor tasted stronger. I definitely plan to come back to try more coffee, especially their other Pandan coffee!

Update: tried the other iced Pandan coffee, ha noi iced Pandan. It was delicious!! Completely different in flavor profile from the cedar Saigon, almost like a deeper taste? Hard to describe unless you've actually had it. It has a more subtle Pandan taste and almost has a chocolate-ness to it. I also bought the cedar Saigon again and it's just as delicious as the first time. I think it's my favorite drink from their...

Chimlahn in Dallas is nothing short of a heartfelt sanctuary—a place where the art of Vietnamese coffee transcends mere taste and becomes an experience of pure devotion. Every sip of their exquisite coffee carries the rich heritage and soulful essence of Vietnam, meticulously crafted to awaken your senses and nourish your spirit.

But Chimlahn is far more than a café; it is a full of warmth and love within the community. The leadership here shines brilliantly, not only guiding with vision but cultivating a culture that feels like an extended family. The energy within these walls is radiant—infused with kindness, authenticity, and a profound sense of belonging.

To step into Chimlahn is to be embraced by loving souls that celebrates connection, culture, and compassion. It is a haven where every time I visit, I am welcomed with open arms (literally a big hug) and every cup tells a story of care and craftsmanship. For anyone seeking not just extraordinary Vietnamese coffee, but also a place to feel genuinely seen and uplifted, Chimlahn is an unparalleled treasure.
