I used to go once or twice a week and never had problems, as a matter of fact, the food was way better than when I used to go when I lived in a different part of town. The kitchen k used to go to in Richardson was slow, the food was never really anything to brag about so I just quit going. When I moved into Lakewood, I tried the Chipotle on Abrams and Richmond once hoping it would be better than the other location and I was happy it was way better. The food was consistently better, hot, and I usually get a bowl with chicken and it wasn't dried out and had more chunks of actual good meat, not pieces of burnt crunchy whatever it was... anyways I've been going there once or twice a week for the past 2 months, up until last week. I got one of my usuals, got home and it was almost cold. Keep in mind from the time they put the foil lid on my food, to when I get home and eat it is maybe on my ten minutes, like I said I live right around the corner so i get my food to go. It wasn't a big deal the first time, I just nuked it in the microwave and ate it. I went back on the same Friday, same thing. Got home, food was almost cold and this time the chicken in my bowl was bad quality. I've been working in a kitchen for 16 years, most of that at pappasitos, but that's besides the point, I have an eye and mouth for chopped chicken, it's kind of hard to mess up. I feel like it was the bottom of the pan and instead of just throwing away the burnt, dried scrap pieces at the end of the pan it was put on top and mixed into the new pan of chicken brought to the expo line when they ran out. I reached out to the contact number on the receipt, just to let them know because if there is a problem effecting consistency, it should be brought to their attention right? Well no one has contacted me back to let me know they got the message. I'm not out to score free meals or get gift cards.... I work in a kitchen at a country club, I eat good every day. Sometimes I like to stop in to Chipotle on my way home if I don't feel like making anything at home or I might meet friends or family there because it's one of the more affordable places to eat in Lakewood that's easy to get in and out of if I dont feel like spending an arm and a leg getting lunch... I hope maybe a manager or corporate member will read this and bring it to the store owners attention, and that they return to that good consistent food they are used to serving. I might go back in sometime soon and asking got a manager to being it to their attention, I would usually go in about an hour to an hour and a half before they closed. I know it's toward the end of the night, employees are trying to leave, so corners get cut and kitchens usually try not to keep alot of food in expo at the end of the shift, but fact is, you still are open and serving food, and that doesn't mean quality has to go down the last hour or so. That being said, sorry for the long story, all the employees are very friendly, I'm always in and out very quickly, kitchen, (mens)bathroom, and dining room are kept pretty clean, food is priced fair, I just had to give it 3 stars because of my 2 recent visits, and 5 stars would be if this chipotle and all other locations just blew me away judging all aspects of a nicer fast-food joint. I don't even like to call it fast food, because we usually associate fast food with having a drive thru, and there might be some with drive thru's who knows. Anyways....hope my short story is useful to...
Read moreUsually I get decent service. This is the second time Iâve asked to remake my burrito due to the nasty counter top. Iâm allergic to sour cream and they sling the food around where the tortilla slides off the foil and it comes in contact with food left on the prep area. Who knows how long itâs been since it was cleaned off. I asked for the manager and told her I was allergic to sour cream and my food came into contact and she told me there was nothing they could do about the prep area having food all over it. I told her they could and should clean the counters and she didnât seemed bothered. I told her I will be calling the city and have them visit for health reasons. So I had a burrito that the tortilla was mostly off of the foil and laying on the base prep area and rolled up with not only the sour cream Iâm allergic to but everything else that was on the counter.
At the same time a guy that was cooking with a cap on and his long nasty hair hanging down in his face put food in an empty crate with hairnet or having his hair pulled back. Poor management. Nasty counters. Guys with long nasty hair hanging in their face as handling food. The manager wasnât concerned about me being allergic to sour cream and my burrito was wrapped with sour cream that was all over...
Read moreI went there today for lunch (2/8/16). They are closed for training. . . DURING LUNCH!!! I can understand needing to be closed periodically for various reasons, but at lunchtime??? Why can't they be closed in the middle of the afternoon?? This is a location that used to have a line all the way to the door on Friday and Saturday nights. Now I rarely see anyone in there, no matter what time of day I pass by, and I will continue to pass by. The training was on food handling and safety. Customers began getting sick from their food last year, and they are just now addressing that issue? An employee at the door told me that I could text a number and get a coupon for a free burrito. This part of the shut down was also handled poorly. Why can't they have paper coupons to just hand out to people who tried to eat there during the training? They have already inconvenienced their customers, and then they want the customer to have to do some work to get a coupon. And, why can't anyone, even those who didn't actually try to eat there during the shut down, just text and get a coupon? Overall, this was a bad response to a...
