We found out about Dallas Affaires Cake Co through word of mouth and decided right away to schedule a tasting with them because of the high reviews that came with the name. When we were there for the tasting, the workers were extremely friendly and very welcoming. We discussed both the bride and groom’s cake and they were very patient working through every little detail with us as we did not come in with an idea of what we wanted. The tasting itself was not rushed, we were given a variety of flavors to compare to help make a better decision. By the end of it, we had figured out exactly what we wanted and ordered both cakes on the spot!

Communication leading up to the wedding to finalize details was consistent and quick. On the day of, the cakes were delivered in a timely manner. Both cakes turned out exactly how we discussed/expected. The flavors of the bride’s cake was champagne and strawberries, the groom’s cake was B52. We were very pleased and our guests enjoyed! There was hardly any cake left and many people asked where it was from because they wanted to get cakes from there for future events. We order a cake for my daughters quinceañera for 250 people. The cake was super dry and the flavor was very different to the ones we chose at the cake tasting. The frosting was super sweet and it barely had strawberries in the filling. I cut a huge slice of cake and I counted 3 slices of strawberries. I was expecting the filling to be full of strawberries. I think they used at most one pound box of strawberries for all of the 3 cakes. They did provided an additional small cake for my daughter which I took the top layer out and it only had 9 slices of strawberries. The cake we order was a faux cake with 3 sheet cakes, each with different flavors which all had fresh strawberries in the filling. Apparently, the design my daughter wanted could not be done with real cake. Which later I found another bakery who did, but it was too late. The cake tasting was good and the service provided too, but we received something completely different. Most DELICIOUS wedding cake we've ever had! We are biased, but it's true! We got several recommendations for Dallas Affaires, & we even taste-tested another highly rated bakery side by side with them and with one bite we knew they were the ones to go with!

We had the most beautiful abstract cake & precut sheet cakes in the back and the guests were raving about it! We had an amazing experience planning and designing our cake with them and they are just great people overall!

A couple of things just to recommend for future would be more access to email communication vs mostly phone as we had a lot going on in planning and it would've been easier to keep track of communication. Also, I had to recruit my sister in law to help transport the cake flowers from the florist to them so that would be nice to have a feature of the service in the future.
