Denny's — Restaurant in Dallas

The short version -- dirty restaurant with such bad service that I walked out without ever getting to eat a meal. ZERO STARS -- AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Go to IHOP (or anywhere else).

The long version - I went in with a party of four for late night dinner on the evening of 8/25/18. We were hungry from a long day of outside activity. We were seated right away...that's when things started down hill. I noticed some unknown goo on the seat I was in -- so we re-seated ourselves in a booth that looked cleaner. The waitress, Yolanda, seemed friendly. She took our drink order and then came back with drinks and took our meal orders. Yolanda then seemingly disappeared from existence; never to be seen again. I can only guess that maybe Yolanda took our order, then promptly and directly walked out the back door and went home without notifying any of her co-workers. We were talking and having a good time as a group and so it took a while for us to realize that we had no drink re-fills, no Yolanda, and our meals were not coming. We let it go for a few minutes longer since the waitresses seemed busy with their other tables. When we saw other tables that came in after us starting to get their food that's when we knew it was time to speak up. We flagged down another waitress and told her we wanted drink refills, we wanted to know where are food is and that we hadn't seen Yolanda in 45 minutes. The waitress realized their error and said, "let me get those refills and I'll tell the manager" -- I watched her proceed to continue serving her other tables. About three minutes later we decided to leave. As we were walking to the front the waitress stopped me and asked us not to leave. I told her, "I need you to prepare a check for 1 coffee, 1 coke and one juice drink" (that's all we were given). She realized that we were not going to stay and at least said that they wouldn't charge us for the drinks. We went in hungry at 9:30pm and left hungry at 10:45pm. We literally looked up the nearest IHOP and drove there instead.

I also need to mention that two of the female members of my party had to take turns using the women's restroom since one of them had to stand outside the door since it's a one-person restroom and the door was broken and wouldn't lock.

This Denny's has a lot of work to do to fix both the little and big things. Under no circumstances will I ever go back to this...
