Tonight was the WORST EXPERIENCE I’ve ever had at a restaurant. PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE REVIEW BEFORE CONSIDERING TO EAT HERE. I visited this restaurant with a friend after a comedy show because it was a good place to eat that was open after 1030pm which was around the time the comedy show ended. My friend and I arrived at about 1045pm on a Friday and were greeted promptly by the hostess and had a very attentive waiter. The food and service was pretty good at this point. We paid our tab of $93 and gave the waiter a total of $120 that included the tip at around 1145pm. Our waiter came back and shook our hands TWICE, once after he brought over my to-go order and again to say he was leaving for the night and to ask what we’re we celebrating and to also enjoy ourselves. I explicitly asked him “what time does this place close?” And he said “Not until 2am”. He leaves for the night and my friend and I continue our conversation over chips and salsa and the remainder of our margaritas. No one else asked us if we needed refills or wanted another drink. Once our waiter left, the good service left with him. At about 1:30am the staff comes over and clears our table of plates and the remainder of the chips and salsa, doesn’t mention that we need to leave. At about 1:45 this hostile man named JORGE comes over and starts taking our cups of water and the salt and pepper shaker and says “it’s time to go.” and at first we thought he was joking because the bar still had about 5-6 other customers sitting there conversing just like we were. So it didn’t make sense why he singled us out. Then when we realized he was serious he makes the comment that we weren’t “spending any money” so we had to leave. He says this as he ties up my to-go order bag. Reminder: No one asked us if we wanted a refill or ANYTHING after our waiter left. He said that to us after spending $120 at a tex-mex restaurant of all places! Mind you, the kitchen was closed AND no one at the bar had drinks. They were sitting there having a conversation just like us. I had my to go order on the table and they had just cleared the plates so they knew we were paying customers. He was very nasty and aggressive to us when we weren’t doing anything besides talking to one another. We couldn’t believe he was speaking like this to two women. Of course no other customers who witnessed this behavior stepped in to help so we left in shock and embarrassment. This was not okay so we came back to ask a different staff member for the manager’s name. JORGE decided to yell at us from behind the bar saying he is the manager AND owner. Little did JORGE know, the other staff member had already told us the real manager’s name and that we could call in the morning. While J-O-R-G-E was yelling at us how to spell his name, he said “you can call the manager in the morning and tell him my name”. I made the comment “I thought you were the manager...” Once he realized he was caught in his lie, he then continues to yell “get out! you never spent any money!” This man completely ruined the end of our night and should not be working in the service industry. I can’t believe he still has a job! He singled us out, the only 2 black women in the building and apparently our money wasn’t green enough. This man yelled at us like we were nothing and put us out as if we were vagrants off of the street. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. I will be making a formal complaint with the real owner/manager and I will update my review based on their response to this incident.
UPDATE: Spoke with the owner Ernie and Daniele the manager. They reviewed the security footage and saw for themselves that Jorge's behavior was unacceptable. We were informed that he has been suspended for a few weeks and were offered a gift card to dine with them again. I turned down the gift card because the experience was so uncomfortable but I do appreciate how this situation was handled...

Review: I recently had the pleasure of dining at E BAR TEX MEX, and I must say it was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, the vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel right at home. But let's get down to the real star of the show—the food!
To kick off my dining experience, I ordered the Stuffed Jalapenos stuffed with Chicken and Cheese, and boy, was I in for a treat! The combination of tender chicken, gooey cheese, and the perfect amount of spice was simply mouthwatering. What made it even better was the option to have them both deep-fried and grilled, offering a delightful contrast in textures. It was a fantastic appetizer that set the tone for the rest of the meal.
For my main course, I opted for the Grilled Shrimp Tacos, and they were a true masterpiece. Each taco was generously filled with succulent grilled shrimp, complemented by the smoky goodness of Applewood Smoked Bacon. The addition of the Roasted Corn Relish, consisting of black beans, corn, red onion, and cilantro, added a refreshing burst of flavors. The creamy avocado and the tangy remoulade sauce were the perfect finishing touches. Paired with the flavorful Cilantro-Lime Rice and Black Bean Soup, it was a complete and satisfying meal.
The attention to detail in every aspect of the dish was remarkable. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, the ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were well-balanced. It was evident that the chefs at E BAR TEX MEX take great pride in their craft.
The service throughout my dining experience was exceptional. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that I had an enjoyable time. Their passion for the cuisine was evident, and they were more than happy to offer recommendations and answer any questions I had.
My visit to E BAR TEX MEX was a fantastic experience. The combination of flavorful dishes, warm ambiance, and excellent service made it an unforgettable dining adventure. Whether you're a Tex-Mex aficionado or simply looking for a delicious meal, I highly recommend giving E BAR TEX MEX a try. You won't be...
Read moreWalked in with my service dog and was quickly advised I wasn’t welcome with a “pet.” I advised she’s a trained and necessary service animal and if we could sit at the patio. Matt, staff at the venue, quickly picked up an upset tone and said I would have to be seated outside (in the covered patio) and my “pet” would a have to be on the floor the whole time. I agreed and we were ok with that. Problem -besides the awful attitude and tone- was only that the floor where he seated us was very filthy…. I asked staff if they could have someone sweep when they came to serve us chips and salsa at the table. I couldnt let my 3 lbs. service animal on the floor like that and instead we got Matt at the table removing the chips we were already digging into, stating he wasn’t going to ask us to leave, he was TELLING us we could not be in the venue because we “broke the rules.” It’s a privilege to be there. Under the ADA he was breaking law by asking more than necessary questions & making discriminatory remarks about my service animal when we walked in so I understand that was projection and lack of education… but the sad part is that we never gave him any trouble or as much as an attitude because we really wanted to check out the spot and i do have a disadvantage due to my disabilities- I sincerely need my dog with me. She only makes noise to alert when something is wrong and we were treated like I was the worst guest. I found it discriminating and very offensive. I’m leaving it to ignorance and lack of education on his end. Very ghetto. We crossed the street to Loro and had the best experience with such a beautiful and clean restaurant where their staff only asked if she was trained service animal. They even gave her a dog bowl. I’ve never had an issue with my dog but it made me so uncomfortable to feel like I can’t go somewhere because of my disabilities that aren’t understood or...
