Rodeo Cold — Restaurant in Dallas

Went to check it out with my wife yesterday(Friday, around 6pm). Place looks great, you can tell they’ve put a lot of work in to it and there was already a crowd of people in the bar and out on the patio area. Jukebox has a sign saying they reserve the right to skip your song if they don’t like it, which struck me as a bit weird. They seem to have their own music playing so not sure if they need a jukebox if they’re going to skip songs that people paid for. My wife had a draught beer and I had a draught Guinness. They had an issue with pouring the Guinness, the tip wasn’t working or something and nobody seemed to know what to do, but they managed to put the Guinness after a delay. Both served in iced glasses. We were going to order another round but there was a long line to the bar, apparently everyone has to go to the bar so I guess there’s no servers? Seemed a bit odd at the start of a Friday evening. Anyway, our bar tab was cheap at just over $10 for two drinks. Checked my bank account this morning and they charged us $25, so not sure what that’s about. Hopefully just a one-off error and not something that’s happening regularly. A fun bar but likely a one-and-done...

Bar wasn’t even busy yet the bartenders acted like we didn’t exist. Waited close to 20 minutes to order two drinks. Took another 10 minutes to even take our food order. Our two burgers didn’t come out for ANOTHER 20 minutes. Even when we were spoken to they were very unwelcoming. Especially it being our first time here. For the price of the drinks and combination of awful service I’m never coming back. Shouldn’t take close to an hour for two beers and two burgers. I feel like an asshole for not remembering the bartenders name. He gives an incredible handshake & is stunning. I’ve only been twice but he remembered my name after months. I’m totally in awe & will make more of an effort to visit more often!!

Edit- his name is Matt!! Second edit- throw up the bat signal!! Matt & Izzi are the most perfect openers!! They both exude charm & hospitality!! The food is great but hand over fist it’s the service you receive from these two that will keep me coming each week. Great job, Rodeo Cold!!
