La Victoria — Restaurant in Dallas

I’ve been a loyal customer here for a while and I’ll be the first to say the food is genuinely great. I’ve ordered from here many times. But unfortunately, the service and overall speed have gone completely downhill. What used to be a reliable go-to spot has now become a frustrating experience that leaves a bad taste in your mouth no matter how good the food is.

Most recently, I waited over an hour. Yes, a full hour. For a single breakfast burrito. That’s just bacon, egg, and sausage. Nothing fancy, nothing complicated. There’s absolutely no reason something that simple should take that long, especially when it wasn’t even that busy. It’s gotten to a point where the kitchen seems overwhelmed even during normal hours and the staff don’t seem to be in any kind of rush to fix it.

To make matters worse, they’re still cash only which is wild in 2025. So if you show up expecting to pay with your card or Apple Pay like literally 99 percent of places, you’re out of luck. There’s no signage or warning upfront either so it ends up being a massive inconvenience.

It’s frustrating to see a spot with good food fall off so hard in terms of service and efficiency. I really hope they figure it out but for now I wouldn’t recommend coming unless you’ve got time to kill and...

The past couple of times I have tried to call and place an order, the phone will ring a couple times and go to voicemail or go straight to voicemail. I feel like this happens every time I try to order through the phone, if they happen to answer it just feels like I got lucky that day. I'm not sure if they're no longer taking orders over the phone or if they have closed for a couple days but online it says they are open everyday besides Sundays. I just wish they were better about keeping customers informed on when they are closed. It would be nice if there was a a way to place an order online instead of having only phone or in person orders available. Also not sure if hours have changed and if so then it should be updated across online platforms. Besides that the food is great here, just unfortunate...

I met Victoria while shopping for groceries, and she told me about her restaurant, which I had always passed by for years, but never went into. When I finally did... WOW!

The food at La Victoria is some of the best authentic Mexican food I've ever come across before! You can get a $3.00 breakfast burrito that will fill you for the whole rest of the day, it's so substantial. They've got a very comprehensive menu.

The place is very clean and comfortable on the inside. You can easily sit on a stool at the front counter while being served by the absolute nicest people. Victoria is so full of positive happy vibes, you go away feeling like you've been battery-charged for your day.
