First of all, it was fun... The waitress Crystal was awesome, the drinks were great and average price we pay other places, the hourly rate- I think was fair for the nice room we had, the restrooms were clean, the environment was just amazing... I enjoyed singing so much that while we waited at the front door, ((because that's where we thought we had to pay)) we had a discussion on how fun it was and how the place would be great for my upcoming birthday party less than a month away!!! Our server was new so everytime we had a question she said she'd find out and be back and since she had to teach us how to use the remote, she told us our time would start at 9p.m.... which I think was super nice!!!
The problem came when we got ready to leave...
We walked out our room no later than 10:10 or 10:15 but were charged for an hr and a half... upset, I confronted the guy and explained to him that it was just now 10:28 and that we stood at the door waiting to be cashed out before our server told us we had to pay at the bar and when we made it to the bar we still had to WAIT because they had two groups of people ahead of us- serving them drinks.... he basically treated us like we were some broke dumb a$$es telling us that we spent an extra 30mins and we were just trying to get over on the bill... I told him to check the last song and he said "do you really want me to??" Well duhhh dummy... but he didn't. I ended up paying an EXTRA $15 because he held my card and ID hostage smh and also to prove to him, we're not the broke ni%%@$ he tried to make us out to be.... even when I gave him $50 cash for the $47 tab we had and told him to give me my card and ID he said I didn't give him enough money ((which turned into another confrontation)) until he recounted the money and seen it was more than enough... Then when he gave me my change he still tried to keep my ID until I yelled at him for that... he was a joke... He didn't seem to understand or even care to hear that we would have just stayed in the room that extra time if we knew we'd have to pay for it because we honestly had fun smh... I won't say that I'm NEVER going back there... I'm sure I'll try it again, but no time soon... I just wanted to share my experience with everyone so you guys know what to expect, so be on your toes with your time or they'll get you
for the owner's response I have no reason to lie and you have it on camera. You seen her take us in the room at whatever time, then leave out to see how much a shot of grey goose was... then she came back to show us how to use the remote... then she forgot the mics... surely your cameras in the rooms have sound so you should CLEARLY hear us ASK "Is this counting as time against us?" "What time does our time start?" And her answer was "YOUR TIME STARTS AT 9:00".... I'm clearly on camera at the bar showing the manager my phone that the time was 10:28... this was after standing at the front door and at the bar, so YES, please just stop AND check your facts... "I can understand if it was 15 minutes" you are a joke too... I'm starting to wonder if your arrogant responses to other people, who also rated you with one star, are facts or not... and YES you ripped me off but it won't happen again. I'll be back LIKE I said and I BET YOU I WILL DOC EVERYTHING from the time I walk through the door so I can provide proof and video ((which I'm sure you won't do again because you know I'm right about being ripped off))... you can RESPOND publicly like a buffoon all you want, call us all the names you want, but if you wanted a 5 star review you should treat everyone the same... and up your customer...
Read moreI should preface this by saying that I’ve worked food service before, and I understand that on busy nights there will be long waits and that it may be difficult to attend to all of your guests. However, my experience here tonight was negative beyond reason, as we were strung along for well over an hour waiting for a karaoke room by unprofessional and non-responsive staff who ignored us over and over.
Tonight we called ahead to ask for an estimated wait time, and were told 20-30 minutes, but no guarantees, as another party could arrive before us. We got there 20 minutes later with a group of 8. When we arrived, we were told to go to the bar to reserve a room, but were told conflicting things by different staff members. One of the staff members told us they were busy and to wait a minute, and another told the rest of our party to wait away from the bar area.
One of my friends waited in front of the bar, and everyone in front of her waiting for karaoke were attended to. A man cut in front of her and was attended to, but once she got to the front, she was ignored for over 20 minutes as she tried to flag down the staff. The man who seemed to be in charge of booking rooms only talked to her after he attended to another male customer who saw that she had been waiting a long time (over 20 minutes) and pointed at her.
Once we were on the waitlist, we were told it would be 10-20 minutes for a room, and we saw one party waiting ahead of us. We sat down and waited for 30 minutes, when the man walked by and told us multiple rooms would be available soon. At this point, the main room and bar had very few people, and we were the only group waiting.
We sat and patiently waited for another 30 minutes, during which multiple staff members (including the man who we were speaking to) walked by us multiple times without any updates. After this lack of any communication, a few people in the group wanted to leave.
Then, the staff member in charge of rooms speed walked past us and said “are you guys ready” as he was walking without stopping, leaving before we had a chance to respond. We were very confused, so we went back to the bar to try to flag him or someone down and ask about the wait again. We were ignored for 15 minutes, even as we made eye contact multiple times with the same man, and finally decided to leave.
Our group wasted our entire night waiting for a room that never came, trying to flag down unresponsive staff for any updates. While the long wait time is somewhat understandable, I think the way we were ignored was utterly unprofessional and inexcusable. I rarely ever leave negative reviews, and Encore Family Karaoke has the distinction of joining my short list of places I will make sure to never...
Read moreI only went to this place because I was invited and I wouldn't go back by choice. No outside food, drink, or even water are allowed inside which would be fine if it were possible to get service from using the call buttons in the room but they go entirely unanswered and orders have to be placed out in the opening area where theres a 20 minute late to order. The portion size of the bar snacks are, in my opinion, worth it but don't order a drink unless it comes in its own bottle because the cocktails are under poured and watered down. 4 pickleback vodka, 2 Vegas bombs, and 2 green tea shots totalled $64 and the picklebacks were the only ones that tasted of alcohol and after all 4 of my half of the above drinks neither me or my girlfriend were so much as buzzed (the next night we got some 1$ shots from specs and after taking 2 of them both said we were more inebriated than after the 4 from the bar). This is a k pop karaoke bar and I knew that going in there may not be any sings for me but I was pleasantly surprised to see an English menu if songs UNTIL I saw how over the place the selection was. Tons of top billboard artists but very rarely did any of them have any of their greatest hits which, for me and others in our party, made it difficult to find songs to want to sing. The tvs in the room also had the ability to go to YouTube but once you were there they wouldn't play audio so you couldn't choose songs they didn't have either. If the only ring you want to do is sing karaoke to k pop songs then this is the place for you, but if you expect anything beyond a broad selection of k pop songs you won't...
