[8/22/2020] The restaurant has gotten worse. There was one waitress running around doing everything resulting in poor service. We went here 9 months after that a tip fiasco. I ordered bassak beef (crispy beef) , because the restaurant was warm inside because the door was jarred opened and I didn’t want to order a hot soup. It was suppose to be $18 for a lunch and because that’s what the waitress said when I order it. When we went to pay, she said it is $24 because it is weekend. Don’t order this. This dish is two hamburger patties on bed of onions. That is it. It doesn’t taste a lot different than hamburger patties with bulgogi sauce. This dish is embarrassing. What’s even more shocking is that this restaurant charges this, $24, an absolute ripoff. I think owner might have changed. This restaurant used to do just 15 dishes well. Now, they do 40 dishes in this small restaurant. This restaurant now focuses making money and making their work easier than serving customers and making customers experience easier. We had an awful experience. You are better off going to h-mart’s food court or going to a fast food joint for hamburger. A side of the past’s tip demand waitress, this restaurant has been flawless. Now, the restaurant is very flawed. Running restaurant is difficult, I know. But, this isn’t way to go.

[11/12/2019] TIPPING is Required, said a waitress with perm after bad service.

Food is always good here and service is usually good here but tonight the service was lacking. I go here all the time.

There was no soap in the men’s bathroom nor paper towel was there to dry the hand.

The owner lady took and delivered my order. She is always been nice to me. I see her most of the time when I visit here. In the middle of the meal, I needed water but the waitress wasn’t available after looking around, and I ran out of one of the side dishes but waitress wasn’t available. The owner lady delivered the check. I went to pay at the counter. The waitress processed the my credit card. I didn’t leave any tips (to insure prompt service) because the service was lacking from other wise excellent food. When I was about to leave, the waitress stopped me and told me I didn’t complete the check. She told me I have to add tips because it wasn’t a self service. I never been in a situation where a waitress who gave me zero service demanded tips. I was really tired and wanted to go home. So, I obliged and gave $2 tips.

I don’t usually see this waitress. In fact, I don’t remember seeing her. She didn’t greet me when I got there. She and I didn’t exchange any dialogs. She didn’t refill my food. She didn’t deliver my food. She didn’t take my order. Only time she spoke to me was when she demanded tips. I had to get my own water.

When you go to chick-fil-a, they greet you. they thank you. they deliver your food. they walk around refill drinks. They clean your table. They do lots of extras. And, they don’t demand tips. This waitress did none of those. She didn’t even thank me. All she did was to exist in this restaurant when I was there and frowned and demanded tips when I was paying. This particular waitress did nothing for me.

My first weird experience at La...

So this rating is based on their customer service and not about their food. Just to make it clear, their food is great and love the variety they offer and the huge portion. However...

Being a long time regular coming here, my wife and I often get the soup frozen to-go for friend and family out of city. We have done this many times and know what they offer and for how much. Today, as we were packing to leave for Houston and stop by to get some frozen soup to-go. They only gave us the frozen soup only without any side dishes or rice (even the green scallions). We asked if they no longer offer the meat, kimchi, and rice with the soup to-go and they said they "NEVER" did such service. So she basically rang us each individual soup package for $11, meat on the side for $10, and $2.50 extra for the kimchi. We questioned them several more times if this was correct and they were very clear with the prices (The lady there was very rude with attitude). We leave and asked one of our friends to call and ask about their to-go soup and what they offer with it. Our friend gives us a call back saying the to-go soup come with the meat, kimchi, and rice for $13. We immediately turned around confronted them in which they REFUSE to admit to their mistake and said we NEVER asked them for extra sides...

For those who decide to get some pre-made to-go soups. Please be aware of this. We will probably never go back there and we have been a regular there for about 5 years. Best of luck...

This place appears nice, but as we always buy the bone broth soup to go, I noticed and video recorded a woman flossing her teeth at a table. This woman appeared Asian. She was flossing her teeth really really quick. .it was gross and I'm a man. So, she finished flossing and left out the door. ..the waitress which appears to have a sister there too...is also a waitress. ..went over to clean the table. ..well the cup of water that the old Asian lady was drinking out of. ..she poured the water onto the table to use it to clean with. ...DISGUSTING. ..I have better things to do then to report negative things but is up to you what you do with the comments. Again, I have video. .those two waitresses that look like sisters they are always rubbing their teeth in front of anyone. ...DISGUSTING. ..I forgot to mention she wiped the condiments down with same dirty waste water and put spoon back in the bucket of green onions to the side to be reused by you and your family. ..DISGUSTING. ..So, basically she wiped down everything with dirty waste water from the old flossing ladies cup she drank from. ..I have video. .someone tell me how to upload I'll do it. .Those with GOOD REVIEWS have not gone or visited often. ..we have been there more than 20 times. ..THEY DON'T TRY TO HIDE THAT THEY HAVE HORRIBLE HYGIENE, or Disgusting. .just watch them...

I ordered a DoGaNi Tang and it came out piping hot with soooo much tendon. I was unable to finish it all! One thing to note is, as you can see, they gave me the entire green onion container.... I worked at a sullongtang restaurant in Southern California some years ago, and we had smaller, secondary containers that would get super gross, sometimes needing to be washed after a single table's use (i.e. the spoon being dipped into the soup). Hopefully patrons are more considerate because they have a larger container to take out of. I don't remember the side dishes being anything special, but the kkakdugi was pretty good. I can't say anything about service because I didn't need them, but they seemed very on top of a table of elderly Koreans who kept calling for the servers. It was almost 6 pm on a weekday and there were several other occupied tables. I was the only non-Korean, which means this place is legit!

Been on a korean pork bone soup tour recently and saw this one on royal lane so I had to stop! The lady helping us was great! Friendly and attentive. I loved their noodle banchan, a nice addition and the egg salad? i think was awesome. Got the back bone pork soup and the spicy goat soup for $14 and $17 respectively. Normally I get the neck bone with comes with more meat/ or its just easier for myself to eat this back bone was just physically harder to navigate ( guess that helps me slow down since I normally chow too fast :) ) Meat was tender, potatos soft, and they got some kinda special mushrooms. I had a bite of the goat soup and that meat was awesome and soft as well. Slight preference to the goat since its easier to eat for me, its like barbacoa in a korean soup. It was a good experience, but I do not see myself going back.
