Peridot coffee — Restaurant in Dallas

I loved how they redid the interior here! It's super cute and relaxed. It was also nice to see that they were making drinks and not much else. They didn't have pastries. This let the baristas really put TLC into your drink and I loved that about this place. They had a small case in the front with a couple of different kinds of cookies and muffins along with some semi-ripe bananas. The employees were very friendly and it was super clean. The cafe itself is not very big but they made great use of the space and have quite a bit of seating available. I tried the milk tea with bubbles (pearls/tapioca/boba) and it was good. The tea had a great flavor and was not overwhelmingly sweet and the pearls had a bit of a sweeter flavor to them so when you drank it while chewing the pearls, it was perfect! I will definitely be visiting here again when I come to Dallas. I hope they do well. I gave them four stars due to the temperature inside. It was a pretty warm day out and the AC wasn't running as high as I would have preferred. Asked man behind cash register about other milk options. He told me them than I ordered a drink with a milk alternative. My friend also ordered a drink. I returned to make sure my drink did not have regular milk. He was very strict about drink names saying it's not boba it's bubble tea and forcefully said I ordered a certain drink without the alternative milk. I explained to him I cannot have regular milk. He said he would make it with almond milk. After paying he noticed I had a salad, he said "no outside food" and proceeded to politely kick me and two friends out. However other customers all looked up and looked startled at what was happening. As we were leaving I looked back at the door and window. There is nothing posted that says no outside food. I also could not drink more than a 1/4 of the drink because it was effecting my stomach. So I will not being going back there again. Drove 15 mins to try this place’s boba tea because other reviews said it was good. NOPE - This place refuses to sell me boba tea without ice, even after I basically “begged” them politely to just sell me boba tea with little ice. I always had a sore throat and always got sick when I drank iced drink. Every 100+ other Boba tea places can always adjust ice and sweetness level. I thought there must be something sketchy about it.
