Ephesus is a great Mediterranean restaurant. Our experience there was fantastic! Food is freshly prepared, hot and flavorful. I think its location next to the grocery store may mistakenly take away its appeal. Once inside though, the place feels and looks very classy and clean. It is nicely decorated and well attended. The atmosphere is very inviting and pleasant. After you are seated, you are almost immediately served with a basket of freshly baked bread that is hot and fluffy and goes so well with flavored butter. The hot tea is absolutely delicious, presented in classic Turkish glasses. When you ask for refills they literally make a fresh batch and serve it super-hot and fresh every time. Calf’s liver as a hot appetizer was delicious and was served with tomato salad that complemented it very well. Zucchini pancakes were super fresh and crispy served with delicious tzatziki and vegetable salad. Chicken kebab was very flavorful, tender and juicy. There is a vegetable casserole on the menu, but it is actually a vegetable stew, something resembling ratatouille, but cooked with Mediterranean spices. It was marvelous with rice pilaf. Chef’s special is a beautiful plate of chicken kebab topped with shoe-string potatoes. French fries as a side were super fresh and delicious as well. We also splurged on baklava, and it was very good, especially with fresh hot tea. I am very glad that we have found this delightful restaurant! Highly recommend it to anyone who is in the mood for Mediterranean food, or just quality...

Birkan gave me the best service I have ever received at a restaurant in my entire life! I came here for dinner around 5:30 on 7/11. I was immediately greeted and seated with a warm and friendly welcome from Birkan. When I was asked if I was ready to order, I asked for a recommendation. Birkan asked me if this was my first time. I said yes. He then took my menu and told me that I could trust him. He was right! First, I received the lahmacun as an appetizer. It was delicious! Reminded me of a Mediterranean spiced thin crust pizza. Then I received the Adana Kebab. It was even better! The vegetables and rice were cooked perfectly with great spices and flavors, and the kebab was juicy and tender and full of deep umami flavors! Then Birkan asked me if I had room for dessert. Of course! He then nodded approvingly and returned with the Kazandibi. I would never have ordered this because of the description, but I am so glad I tried it! The caramelized custard was one of the most unique desserts I have ever had. The combination of the sweet creamy custard and smokey caramel topped with pistachios had me going back for more until it was all gone. Then to top it all off, Turkish tea! It warmed my soul! I will never forget the experience I had tonight. So wonderful! And I am so very...

I was meeting friends at another restaurant until we found out it wasn't open until dinner. My friend's husband highly recommended Ephesus Mediterranean Grill. I had no idea that this magnificent restaurant existed even though I have driven down Central Expressway a 1,000x.

Tucked in a shopping strip mall off of Meadow, I felt that I walked into a Turkish home with some of the best food I have ever had. I didn't look at the menu as my friend's husband ordered it all. The appetizer plate of hummus, dolmas, tzatziki sauce, an eggplant and a tomato dish, whose names I don't know, with pita slices and another bread was exquisite and a meal of its own. The hot tea was smooth and soothing. The main dish was the family style platter with a combo of meats - chicken and beef kabobs, chicken shawarma, adana kebab, rice, onions and other veggies. I ate more than I normally do and the leftovers are waiting in my refrigerator for more savoring. We wrapped it up with baklava and Künefe – Turkish cheese pastry dessert-that was off the charts, honey-dripped, mouth watering good.

Everyone was kind and welcoming. The service was superb.

There is plenty of parking, easy wheelchair access and is spacious for families with children.

I'll be bringing family and friends to my new...

Ephesus Mediterranean Grill 10455 N Central Expy, Dallas, TX 75231 Mediterranean Cuisine 1. I ordered the Branzino—a pan-seared sea bass fillet with a slightly crispy crust, served with Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. Personally, I found it delicious. 2. My partner got the Hunkar Begendi, supposedly the chef’s recommendation. It tasted like a spiced lamb stew with tomatoes and eggplant. 3. For the appetizer, we had the Greek salad—your standard mix of tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, lettuce, and pickled cabbage. Pretty typical for a Mediterranean spot. 4. Also tried the Falafel, which are basically fried chickpea and/or fava bean patties. These were really tasty. 5. The bread and butter were both fragrant and satisfying. The food here is great, and the prices are reasonable—this whole spread, including tip, came out to just over $80. Pretty solid deal. The only quirks? The decor’s a bit dated, and they were blasting club music at noon…vibe was kinda weird 😂. But as foodies, we didn’t mind much. #MediterraneanFood #DallasEats #FoodieAdventures #EphesusGrill #HiddenGems
