This specifically is for the pharmacy. We have been there 3 different occasions and each time it has not been good honestly. The pharmacist is either lazy or brand new and does not know how to do things. First issue, we forgot to give them the insurance card for the medication so we wanted them to give a refund and rerun the cost to the correct amount. Without even thinking about it he says “oh we can don’t that, there’s nothing we can do.” But I quickly respond with “why can’t you do that” then all of a sudden he can do it but it will take over 2 hours to do. While a different Tom Thumb we went to (went there to pick up different medications) assisted us right away and it only took them 15 mins to do it . What is worse is when this place was ready to give us a refund and asked us if we used a debit card or credit card I told them I used my HSA. THE PHARMACIST SAID HE DID NOT KNOW WHAT A HSA IS! HOW ARE YOU IN HEALTHCARE AND NOT KNOW WHAT A HSA IS?! The second issue is that we asked for the medication information to be printed out instead of scanning the QR code. Again the pharmacist said they can’t print it out and we have to use the code. You clearly have a printer and can print it out. You even have a sign posted that says if you want medication information in paper form to let them know. This is just pure laziness. They just don’t want to do the extra work to help the customer. The third incident was them not telling us they didn’t have a certain medication. We had to pick up two medication so got a message that one was ready. We waited to hear from them but after waiting a long time decided to call them. That’s when they said “oh we don’t have it, we only have one for you.” So unprofessional. Why do we have to keep asking for the simplest thing. Why would we just come pick up one and just forget about the other one. We just decided to get both filled at the other Tom Thumb in Richardson (W Campbell Rd) where their pharmacist (Frank) is amazing. Read moreThis use to be my favorite small Tom Thumb with the best Meat Managers specials. I am writing this review after two times in a row past due foods. I am a regular so I know this store. I usually come to this store twice a month. Previously the refrigerated dressing was past due and I like someone know about it OK excused that so I went this past Friday the veggie in the bags (broccoli slaw, broccoli and cauliflower mix bag was way out dated as well. I know this store is under going some much needed repairs but I almost fell the floor was slippery wet with something and it was down one aisle leading all the way to to the cashiers I did make staff aware and they cleaned it up quickly because who is not trying to fall is me I already have a bad back and arthritis so I aint check or sue happy I just don't want to injure myself. I went to the deli and typically like to get the friend chicken so I don't have to cook and there was a swarm of flies almost like an infestation maybe because there was water and repairs going on but SHUT DOWN THE DELI that was nasty and was not a good look. The Meat specials meat looked better then the meat that was not on sale was quite surprised at that since I do tend to come here to stock up my freezer with meat. Some of the meat was past due and not even on sale which was confusing was really disappointed in my last visit but the staff is awesome no issues there come on yall get it together

Read moreI have been shopping here since December of 2024, and Daniel can verify I have been coming to this store almost everyday for almost 9 months if not multiple times a day! Daniel has gone above and beyond on making me feel welcome in the store and showing me where I can save money, and really get the best bang for my buck. Unfortunately after my shopping experience tonight I will never spend a dime with Tom Thumb, after spending $100+ groceries, the mother of my kid decided to go find something else, after paying and bagging my groceries myself. This very large man covered in tattoos from the neck down started following me and my wife around the store while i’m carrying my groceries he was giving me and my wife a very dirty look and got real close to us and started having this bullshit conversation on the phone and I just stared at him. As someone who was a first responder to life and death situations communication with people is essential, if he simply asked to see my receipt I would’ve showed him. Needless to say I didn’t expect to come to a store spend my hard earned money and be harassed. My wife almost calls the cops because she feels like someone is prowling and stalking her. The only reason I knew he was asset security is because I go there so often and see him harass countless people. This is a very clean store but not to many good options. I myself will never return due to the harassment and absolute unprofessionalism by this employee of Tom Thumb. Thumbs down 👎...
