Had a pretty interesting interaction with the pudgy owner 7/25/24. Girl took my order of four items, one of which was āchocolate ice cream in a cupāverbatim. My FOUR YEAR OLD daughter is very stubborn and only likes solid chocolate. The owner handed me my order and I immediately noted the ice cream was vanilla-chocolate swirl and I reminded them I only wanted chocolate. He stated the machine only served swirl and not solid chocolate, and I told him I was not told that when I clearly ordered only chocolate ice cream. My FOUR YEAR OLD daughter agreed to give it a try, but she said it didnāt taste like chocolate at all. The ice cream was 99% white hardly even any chocolate color, see pictures. I was curious and tried it myself, and it had a strong vanilla flavor, nothing chocolate about it. I was surprised she was able to distinguish that. So I went back and told the guy she didnāt want it, if he could please switch it out for ICE plus HERSHEYS SYRUP (raw cost maybe one 25 CENTS lol). The owner then argued with me for like about 5 minutes saying he was not going to do that because I should have seen the picture is swirl. I was in shock as I paid $5.14 cents for a small cup of ice cream which probably has a raw cost of 50 cents and was asking for him to simply switch it for something that cost him 25 cents for a toddler, and for something I didnāt order to begin with. I told him just because there isnāt a picture of chocolate ice cream doesnāt necessarily mean they donāt have it, itās not like they have a picture of everything on the menu. Also, they should have told me it was swirl when I clearly ordered only chocolate. His argument was not logical and quite evil as he was arguing with me in front of my kids and mom. In the end I didnāt back down and he gave me my refund and I ordered the cheaper chocolate ice, when I was originally waiting to just switch it and let them keep the difference. What a waste of time and energy over something where they were in the wrong. My young daughter had a more mature attitude as she was willing to try it, where he was just a troll. Heās lucky he gave me the refund, he should be more careful over such...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFavorite shaved ice in the metroplex...so far. I've been mildly obsessed with shaved ice since I was 8 yrs old. TC Shaved Ice used to hold the crown, but quality has gone downhill in the past 3 years, they need to sharpen the blades because often times you will end up with ice chips, which in my book is a snow cone, not shaved ice.
SNO is different. Although more pricey (think $10 for 2 larges) they offer damn good natural flavors (mango, coconut are my favorites) and offer toppings like candy, fresh fruit...etc. The quality of the ice is great. They don't skimp on the flavoring either; You're not going to find the bottom of your cone white and flavorless.
The atmosphere of the place (a little dingy) and the signage needs work, but the quality of the shaved...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen coming here for 3 years because I love the snow cones here. I had bad service today when I came(by the OWNER) who took my order. The music was loud and with the mask itās hard to talk loud. The employee made my order wrong but he had to go tell the owner I guess if he could remake it. The owner came to tell me I had to speak louder next time. Also I asked for chili powder on top and paid for that. When the employee remade my order he barely put juice on it and barely put chili powder on top and told me to put some more if I wanted. All that just because he got my order wrong. The owner should have repeated the order back with the music being so loud and me having a mask. He only had a face shield which made it easy to talk. Will not be...
