Notice that they do not call themselves Philly Cheesesteaks. That’s because while these sandwiches pay homage to its Philly roots, these cheesesteaks come with their own twists. With a house-made cheese sauce in place of traditional whiz or provolone and a variety of different seasoned and marinated fresh shaved meats, the cheesesteaks from Furlough Brothers are unlike anything you’ve ever had.
We got the Bulgogi, Local Smokehouse, and the OG. We only poured cheese sauce on the OG, but we tried all of them with it, and honestly, it went perfect with all 3, especially the Bulgogi which was my personal favorite. Additionally, we got a side of fries to share and a Fully Loaded Mac and Cheese Muffin. While you can never go wrong with a side of fries, that Fully Loaded Muffin is an absolute MUST. It comes loaded with mac & cheese, caramelized onions, and bacon contained in a muffin shape which makes it easy to...
Read moreWas craving a nice cheese steak, looked up on maps and this place popped up. It's located in a industrial area not great location but good location for the warehouses around to grab lunch. No inside seating there are benches outside but there's hardly any shade. As you can see from the pic you order at a kiosk (1) it's more of a door dash or take out place. The inside threw me off, it doesn't have a eatery type of vibe. Just a guy sitting in a cut out window with no register, couldn't see a kitchen or heard any dishes clanking and a blackout curtain as a door. There's a lot of options how ever from vegan to ramen I believe. Now to the cheese steak, I was surprised, it was pretty large and the steak was nice bite size pieces not overly chopped like some cheese steaks, but did lack a little flavor & a little on the dry side. I ordered the OG w/ mushrooms and provolone, the cheese had to be premium, some cheeses are bland and flavorless. The fries were ok a little overly seasoned, my preference, (maybe put a cup of seasoning on side) and I suggest buying your own drink(remember it's a take-out place) $2 for a can drink. I'd like to go back and try the bulgogi cheese steak, sounds good. Before paying make sure you look at the total they add an automatic percentage for tip.
Read moreSuper good cheesesteaks, probably some of the best I've ever had. The concept of this place is quite odd. There are multiple restaurants operating out of the same kitchen. It's an interesting thing to try, considering there is no service staff or dine In. I walked in not knowing anything and really was not explained anything, which is fine, except that there were at least ten people working. No one greeted me or asked about the experience/explained anything. I felt like I was walking into an office building that I shouldn't of been in. I'd assume everything but the cheesesteaks is okay but not worth the price. Would I come back? Really unsure...
