Gazeebo Burgers — Restaurant in Dallas

This place isn't bad, but it's very underwhelming. The décor is somewhat thoughtless - for example there is a Shell bulb on a Mobilgas pump, there is a Route 66 clock despite Dallas not being on U.S. Route 66, and the layout is somewhat poor.

I did like the size of the buns - the #1 complaint I have about most burger places is the bun is too small and gets soggy. This won't happen here.

I came here looking for a healthier option because I read in the reviews the turkey burger was excellent. I will say that it wasn't bad, but it was unseasoned. They give you all your fixin's at a bar in the middle of the dining room which is both good and bad.

I did not enjoy the fries. They were not crispy and they did not taste like anything - not even basic salt & pepper. At a certain point, if I'm the one seasoning all the food, then I wonder why I am spending $22 for a burger, fries, and a drink.

The staff were very difficult to understand and the PA system announcing the orders was super cloudy, so it was hard to tell when my order was ready.

I might come here if I worked nearby because at least it's predictable and not terrible, but I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to...

Pros: Looks nice, clean, and elegant.

Cons: Food is not up to spec with the taste.

My experience: skipped in line by someone who isn't a minority. Staff didn't acknowledge that I was next. Wrong till, charged me .81 cents extra. Got that refund back after asking. Burgers are edible. Was told all my toppings would go on the side and not in the burger. Quickly requested all toppings in burger. Ordered a mushroom and avacado burger. Correct me if I am wrong here, but they put pickles on the mushroom Swiss burger (which was not swiss cheese, but instead white cheese). Why? Who puts pickles on a mushrooms swiss and gives fake swiss... The avacado burger was better with pickles. I understand the pice, with regards to the area; just not the taste. Not delicious. Just mediocre. Not bad by a long shot. Just not delicious either. Lastly, my food was on the counter and sat there for a few minutes, then my number was called. I was right in front...

I must say that I was disappointed with the burgers… I had the 1/2 pound and my friend had the regular gazebo cheeseburger. The buns were enormous too much bread for the 6 oz cheeseburger he removed the top bun so that he could taste the burger, it was okay on the 1/2 pound but the meat was very dry I had to put a lot of extra mustard then add relish and tomato (which I generally don’t like on a burger) to make up for the dryness. I was also quite dismayed that the prices shown on the google maps listing were SO wrong! I’m referring to the menu supplied by the restaurant itself not photo’s of the menus. Burgers are $2-$3 more than listed online so, a cheeseburger, a 1/2# burger and 1 order of fries to share came to $29.00. That did not include tip, no drinks just 2 burgers and 1 fry….
