Hello, I attended this restaurant yesterday and while the food has to be some of the best italian I've had in a long time, the waiters customer service made the whole dining experience uncomfortable to the point where I question ever going back. The service was that uncomfortable for all of us since it conveyed an aura of unwelcomeness from our waiter. From the moment my coworkers and I arrived, it became an unpleasant experience. I asked a simple question regarding the availability of italian sodas and rather than give a simple yes or no response, I was met with an annoyed facial expression. I just asked for water at that point. Afterwards, one of my coworkers asked about the availability of some bread to order with perhaps some rosemary or garlic oil, and before she could finish the waiter interjected with "there is no complimentary bread here." We were there for approximately two hours and saw our waiter approximately three times. I had to call him for a water refill once. At first I believed the behavior was perhaps due to stress but we looked at him beaming with other tables and being the friendliest as well. It was clear he was avoiding our table. If not for some kind and patient individual that delivered our plates and offered us water refills as well as cheese for our dishes, the entire experience would've been a sour one. While I would've liked to order some of the desert options, I was deterred by the service and wanted to just leave asap. A coworker of mine tried the apple cinnamon desert w almond butter and expressed it was the highlight of her experience there despite the poor customer service. Id like to wrap this up with a positive note on the food though. The carcaccio...
Read moreMy lunch at Princi Italia in Dallas was a 5-star experience in every way. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant’s clean, inviting ambiance and the irresistible aroma of fresh sauces and herbs set the tone for a fantastic meal.
We were seated promptly, and the service was exceptional. A standout was Jose, the restaurant manager, who went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. He personally checked on our table, asking how everything was and if there was anything else we needed. His attentiveness truly elevated our meal from just good food to a memorable dining experience.
We started with the Garlic Flatbread—a crispy, flavorful masterpiece that had us all reaching for more. For our mains: My daughter adored the Rigatoni alla Vodka, praising its creamy, well-balanced sauce. My niece devoured her Kids’ Spaghetti Bolognese, a generous portion with rich, savory flavors. My Chicken Piccata was perfection—tender, lemony, and paired with just the right amount of pasta.
Between the delicious food, warm atmosphere, and Jose’s outstanding hospitality, Princi Italia has become a must-visit for us. We’ll...
Read moreI made reservations for 4 on Father's Day. It didn't go very well and we left there having spent $179.00! The menu was prix fix, which did not include drinks - they did not tell me this when I made reservations, and it was not on their website.
They had no vegetarian options on the prix fix menu and when I asked our waiter for one the only option that was given was "butter noodles" - better known as kiddy food for an expensive prix fix price! Although we asked if the meat could be left off of the Eggs Benedict, and they were willing to accomodate this request.
The food: my entree was a shrimp eggwhite omelet - let me just say there was about 1/2 teaspoon of chopped shrimp in my omelet, and it was over-salted. Very little food for the amount of money spent.
The restaurant was understaffed for this day - we decided we wanted cappucinos and had to ask for them twice; found out they were made by our waiter, not a barista.
We will eat at steakhouse next year.
UPDATE: I did contact corporate offices the day the below message was left (at the email provided) and I have yet to receive any...
