Was in the neighborhood and saw this place listed. Shows they have a long history, was in D magazine, so figured I would give them a shot.
Easy to get to which can definitely be tough in the Medical District. Drive thru was wrapped around the building so I decided to go in.
Very small inside. Very narrow and while they have a dining space, there is so waiting area for Togo orders so room was full of people waiting on their Togo orders, so plan on taking it with to eat in the car, which wasn’t a big deal to me.
Staff seemed to be having a good time which is always nice to see as long as it doesn’t hinder the food, which it didn’t.
Got the 4 tender meal which comes with two sauces(I got their boss sauce), fries, pickles and a pepper, which you don’t see anymore and I can assume these garnishes are an ode to the family history recipe.
Tenders are huge! Very fresh and seasoned well. A little on the dry side and the batter was a bit greasy for my taste but that is more of my preference. Fries were skinnies, which are my favorite but was very disappointed that they had no salt. A nice kosher salt crisp would pair great with them. I don’t usually like dipping sauces, but theirs was good. Nothing too powerful and good heat, a little mild to be called Boss, I would say but good flavor. I don’t know if this ranks, “Seek them out” status but if you’re in the...
Read moreHalls chicken service is poor food is decent, I’ve been wanting to try this place. The Location on camp wisdom extremely rude like they don’t care if they make money today or not. Just ignorant. People like this is why they don’t thrive here in Dallas. They’re the reason places have to close down their businesses. I drove to the second location on medical district in hopes of a better experience only to be met with a ever more rude person who claimed he was the manager . I have been to many cities Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, California. I’ve never seen black people like the way they are in Dallas. No wonder why no other races like them or fool with them here. My boyfriend is black and from Atlanta and has lived in Houston and he even says they’re attitudes are something he’s never seen before. Their chicken should be ten times better than what I tasted for that type of service. Everybody sells chicken won’t be...

It's still good but rate only of 4, because I prefer my chicken on the tender side and not cooked as long. And prefer my fries crisp.
So service should probably be a two star instead of three.
The last two times by two different employees, they just told in a quite abrupt manner that basically everything's cooked on a timer, and that's the way it comes
Oh well.. i'll still take my chances on occasion if very hungry after a parkland appointment. Last two times it just wasn't as good.
The atmosphere inside is more of a zero ... and no air conditioning. I was very concerned for the employees.
I recommend the drive through. And if you don't like Pickles, or peppers, make sure to tell them.
I'd prefer to sit down and eat inside and at the price of a bit small Coke. I think it was two dollars and fifty or two dollars, and ninety five cents.. i can at least get a refill.
That's...
