My first and last meal in Dallas. I have to say I was excited when I discovered there was a Whataburger practically next door to the the hotel I was staying in while in Dallas, however it didn't live up to the hype. In fact it didn't even come close.
I was in town for 6 days and the first of our group to arrive. On top of that I was so early that the hotel's check in hadn't started yet, so I decided to have lunch here while waiting. It was about 11:30am so I walked over to check out their lunch. The establishment was about half full and both of the drive-thru's on the building were also busy. I took a quick glance at the menu and selected their Patty Melt which is basically a burger using sandwich bread instead of a bun. I filled my drink, picked a table and waited for them to bring it out. Why did I wait? Well in case you haven't been to a Whataburger they cook all orders fresh, so you have to wait for it.
After a short wait my Patty Melt arrived. It was uh... small and kinda squished. The person who brought it out asked if I needed anything else and I asked for some Mustard. She said she'd be right back and I never saw her again. I ate the meal and went back to the hotel. There was nothing memorable about it. Definitely underwhelming.
On our last night in town we made a late night trip to Whataburger on our way back to the hotel. It was about 1:30 in the morning when we arrived. BTW this location is open 24/7. This time around I ordered the special burger they were promoting called the Chop House Cheddar burger which according to their menu is "Two 100% pure American beef patties, crispy bacon, grilled onions and shredded cheddar cheese. All topped by our very own Creamy Steak Sauce."
We took our meals and went back to the hotel to eat. When I went dress my burger I discovered I what received was a single patty burger with cheddar and one strip of bacon. No onions or steak sauce. At least I got my mustard this time.
So all in all, meh... I'm willing to believe this problem was the location and not the business itself. I'd say to avoid this location and choose another one if you're looking to sate your...

Instead of heading to our usual spot in Desoto we decided to stop here after leaving the airport. Worst mistake ever. When we walked in there were no customers at the counter. Walked up and absolutely no response from anyone behind the counter. There were a couple of workers there, they looked at us and said nothing, no we will be right with you... one moment please... nothing. Finally, one of the workers slowly and with hesitation came over to a register and asked what we wanted. I said I want a #22 with sausage 3 times and my daughter asked for a second sausage egg and cheese sandwich, just the sandwich... not the meal. So, we go sit down and wait, either for our food or number to be called. 15 minutes pass and I asked my daughter to go ask what was going on. Several people who came in after us already had their food. She then checked the receipt and noticed the lady charged us for a #20 which cost less, but I asked for the #22. So, I went up to the counter and let them know my order was wrong and also to ask how much longer it would be. So instead of being apologetic for the error the woman huffs and puffs and rolls her eyes. I hear her say #20 and I said, oh no I want a #22 and she rolls her eyes again and says. I said 22... I thought really lady... and told her NO I heard you say the #20 and then she said, I told them it's not a 20... which in fact she just admitted to saying 20 and not 22. After all the attitude I just asked for a refund. At least the shift supervisor apologized, but the fact that she allows that type of behavior towards customers is unacceptable. People you should realize, that without paying customers you don't have a job. I'm sure if the tables were turned around and they would have been in my situation their demeanor wouldn't have...

And I don’t mind waiting for fresh good food… however this was a different crew than I usually see when I come in and the quality I received was what I expected after seeing how they were doing others orders.. The meat on the sandwich was old because the cheese wouldn’t even melt on it and they put bell peppers on it as well 🤷🏽♀️.. the sandwich wasn’t hot like I’m used to getting.. the fries weren’t done all the way (which was expected cause the manager was pulling the fries before they were ready to come out) the apple pie was almost as cold as my sweet tea… but the tea was perfect 👌! They redid my order except the pie (I was unaware of how cold it was until I got back in the car).. even after a redo my sandwich was fresh and hot but my bacon was raw !!! I almost threw up after I bit into it! I ate a few of my fries and threw everything away!! Didn’t wanna go back in a 3rd time!! I just know if I see that crew there then to go back home and eat some cereal cause it’ll be better than what I’ll get from them! Once again I frequent this location! Just not after a certain time!! And I’ve always had great service and great quality especially from the morning work crew!! Hope...
