Dallas Slow Life: Happiness in the Little Things

Today, was a day! I was not okay with the amount of fries that was in my large fry box. I asked the worker to please top off the box, because I could still see the back of the box. I watched the girl at the window pass the bag to one of the workers (who I now know is the ‘Owner’); the ‘Owner’ looked in the bag and passed it back to the girl at the window to give back to me. So of course, this made me feel some type of way. I asked why the bag was just passed back to me? The ‘Owner’ rudely said (although she had a smile on her face), “That’s all the fries that go in the box, it was weighed.” I asked about the scale, because she didn’t pass it back to the cook to weigh it, she just said it was weighed. In other words, she did not confirm the weight with the person who boxed it. And I learned from different workers from different stores that they are taught how to weigh fries in training, but on a typical BUSY day-to-day, they DO NOT have the time to weigh the fries. Don't be fooled people. There's a difference in theory and actuality. And instead of being considerate and accommodating, she rudely said, “Well that’s all the fries you’re getting or you can just get your money back.” I shockingly asked for my money back. She asked how I paid, cash or card? I told her the receipt was in the bag. She said things would go back on my account and that was that. However, I had never received this type of treatment from this particular Chick-fil-A, or any other for that matter. And it really weighed heavy on me because I thought Chick-fil-A CARED. I went inside, after being treated so rudely in the drive-thru and low and behold she, Noor Elesawl, was talking about me to another worker (looked like he may have been a manager). At the time, there was a line of cars to the end of the street and she had taken the time to stop working the food line to talk poorly about me. Not once, did she try to accommodate me or make an attempt to send the fry back to be weighed. I heard her talking about ME when I walked in the restaurant (completely unprofessional) and I said, “She’s talking about me” to the person she was talking to. She began to approach me, I told her I didn’t want to talk to her. She then informed me that she was the ‘Owner’. I told her that I didn’t care that she was the ‘Owner’. She then asked me to leave the store and not to return or she would call the police on me. Absolutely absurd. She's talking trash about me and somehow that makes me a threat. She don't have to worry, I WON'T BE BACK! I don't know if there is a new 'Owner' over there or not, but I remember it used to be two brothers who were the 'Owners'. I didn't know Chick-fil-A changed owners like that. But this 'Owner' Noor Elesawl, is going to run this Chick-fil-A in the ground. I hope none of you ever have a problem or complaint at THIS Chick-fil-A. Who do you complain to when the 'Owner' is the problem?? That's a sad question to have to ask. She certainly was not being or setting a good example for her employees or managers, and definitely NOT representing the Chick-fil-A Brand. She does not have the maturity or disposition for ownership of any establishment, especially a reputable brand of this caliber. (HERE I GO)

i have to say, i agree with the other customers that this location is consistently exceptionally slow. My last visit however was concerning beyond the slow service. This location has had a huge pothole in direct line of their slow drive thru that has damaged customers' and even employees' cars. Sadly, there was no warning in terms of signage or cones as i exited my 20 plus minute wait, and my tire was immediately busted. No warning at all? At a restaurant known for using cones and signage to make the drive thru experience quick and easy, which of course this one stands out as not doing either. i only know that this has been an unresolved issue because when i went inside to speak to a manager, he had basically no reaction to my direct but calm statement, "i just busted my tire that's in direct line of your drive thru after buying food from you." i asked if someone could help put the spare on. Luckily there was one wonderful man working in the back who came out to help. i wish i could leave a review here or with the company of him, because he was an angel. He also told me that he has hit the hole several times and customers hit it "every day" but to his knowledge i was the first to actually break a tire. i went in to speak to a second manager about why the hole wasn't marked, and she said she did not know, but that she has also almost seriously damaged her car on a couple of occasions. She said they don't know who exactly is responsible for it, and offered no gesture to say sorry for my loss, but said she hoped my situation would make someone do something to fix the hole sooner. How does a manager of an establishment known for customer service not ensure there is proper signage or deterrence in place for a hole she/he knows has and could continue to cause damage to their customers' cars? This is basic operational stuff, friends. Finally, i contacted the franchise owner/operator of this location, a man named Stacey McGee. He talked around the situation which he eventually called "an act of nature", a laughable attempt to avoid responsibility. Among many other meaningless things he typed the following sentence: "While there are some things beyond our control, working with you, and others, that may have reported the hole, may help expedite the attention to this matter." May? Sir, if you can't commit to fixing it as the owner, then who can? He offered no remedy or gesture and would not even commit to fixing it. He also lied and said there had been a cone there that had been dragged off, when there was in fact no cone in sight, and I took photos. Maybe he meant some other day and maybe if they ran their drive thru like every other location, they would pay more attention to that. Funny enough, when i mentioned this whole ordeal to my step mom, one of her responses was "why were you at that one? it's dreadfully slow." my 14 year old brother who loves this food apparently also knows this as "the slow chick-fil-a".

Never have I received such HORRIBLE customer service from a Chickfila visit elsewhere. I am HIGHLY dissatisfied with service provided by manager Steve at this location. On Monday Oct 14 I placed two combo orders thru the drive thru. When I got home, my daughters noticed there was only one waffle fry in the bag which is the MAIN reason they requested Chickfila, specifically because they both wanted waffle fries. It was raining , I was tired..long day..I did not feel like getting back out to get more fries so I called the store. I spoke to Steve, gave my order number he verified the sale and asked could I come back tonight I said no. he asked when and I said sometime this week. He then said to speak to any manager when I got back there and he would replace the fries. I let him know that my daughter's entire meal was ruined and that at the very least he should be offering to replace her meal if anything for the inconvenience of coming back out there which is 2 Chickfila out of my area. The only reason I stopped by that one was because it was in route to my home but not the nearest Chickfila to me so this was a huge inconvenience. He did not sound sympathetic at all. He then agreed, rudely..to replace my order.

Today I have someone drive me because I am pre Ankle surgery. Ankle was killing me. we go thru the drive through. I place another order for a combo and precede to tell them about the order Steve said he would replace . I was then told I MUST come inside the store to retrieve the (redo) meal . Its pouring rain..I get inside..ankle killing me..and he says I'll only be able to replace the nuggets and the fries. #1 I was inconvenienced further by driving back out..in the rsin..with discomfort for my knee so shouldn't have been asked to come inside. this could have been taken care of thru the window. #2 once I get inside Steve has the audacity to say I'm only replacing the fries and nuggets only. SO petty in my opinion not to replace the entire meal. What is one medium drink to a customer that you inconvenienced?? I have never dealt with such unprofessionalism from any Chickfila employee at any location ever! Every one is so police pleasant and friendly and this jackass could care less about satisfying customer. I am reporting this location...
