Ordered from this place for the first time on a Thursday morning around 9:30 AM via UberEats.
Glazed Donut - Texture is light and fluffy. Typical donut light on the icing. Mightâve been old since it was later in the day.
Raspberry Filled Donut - Texture is also light and fluffy, similar to regular glazed donut. Not much filling in it. I had to dig through more than half of the whole donut there is only about a grape-size amount of filling in the entire thing. Raspberry filling has seeds in it - mostly like raspberry jam from the store - kind Iâd takes away from the soft fluffiness of the donut IMO (but thatâs mostly because I donât like seeds in my raspberry jam). Quite disappointing.
Strawberry Cream Cheese Danish - Strange flavor on the pastry partâŠKind of taste like shortening? or a very familiar type of shortening that you typically taste from a grocery store bakery section, not off the shelf, but not quite from a restaurant either. Very minuscule amount of cream cheese, if any, unless it all melted into the pastry, which it probably did. I wouldâve also liked A LOT more strawberry filling, though - maybe actual strawberries instead of just jam again. Very disappointing.
Cronut - I saved this one for last because I LOVE cronuts, and I wanted to save the best for last. Unfortunately, I was met with disappointment yet again. Absolutely no icing on the bottom. Itâs like these were put in bowls and icing was poured on top - thereâs even a little muffin top lid where the icing stops and mushrooms over. (See photo) biting into it is met with absolute hollowness. Itâs full of air and quite stale tasting - not the many layers of a buttery croissant, but instead, giant, hollow holes of deep fried Youtiao (Chinese crullers (look it up)). Not what Iâm going for when Iâm looking for a cronut. INCREDIBLY disappointed. Also, there might be some flavor contamination in the process of making these because the cronut tasted like apples & I did not order anything with apples.
Overall, I was very disappointed with this place. Although it was later in the day. Iâve been to other places later in the day and still gotten donuts eaten their donuts several days after AND their donuts STILL hold up fine. Donuts should be able to withstand one day if at least the hours that they are being sold. Nothing was disgusting although I found everything was either average, a little weird, or slightly below average. I would not recommend this place & I will not...
Read moreSince being fairly new to my area, I'm still exploring new places. When planning a community event and providing breakfast after doing a local search and reviews, this place was chosen.
Arriving early on a Sunday morning, there wasn't a line as what I'm used to seeing at popular donut spots. The two foreign women lightly smiled and asked, "Can I help you?" I said hi, I'm new to the area and after review your place was one of the best. Crickets
Proceeding to tell them I needed a big order and, if possible, warm, please. I can wait if I have to.
The older lady started boxing while the other younger one was spending in their language to her.
I inquired if they provided a military discount, and the younger one looked at the older one, then shook her head, saying nooo.
After boxing, I was shocked that, like other donut places, when you make a purchase and especially over a normal amount, they throw in free items. Nope, not here, at least, not my order of almost $80!! And not even a thank you!!
Y'all, all reviews aren't created equal, but TRUST me in the times when these businesses were affected during the pandemic, they have to be more appreciative to ALL customers!!
SN: The food items were cold and tasted okay. My local homeless enjoyed the...
Read moreI have been coming to this place for about 3 months the service is somewhat suspect (not enough people working) but the kolaches are good donuts not so much! But today was my last purchase. This morning, I stop by to purchase a some kolaches and water and on my way out I realize that I forgot to buy the water so I turn around to pay for it! The first thing she says is that i have to buy over over 3 dollars with card. I dont know whoever told this business that forcing people to buy more than 3 dollars to use a debit/credit was a good business practice! I only carry card, the lady just said no, I said I just spent a lot money buying kolaches at your shop, she said âyeah sorryâ in my opinion, this are just bad business practices of âGREEDâ.
I felt like this business is just greedy and BAD place to shop!!
As a business owner myself I would have just given the water bottle away INSTEAD of losing a customer!! I dont recommend this place because of this policy of asking people to spend more just to use a card, this is pure GREED! I also do not recommend their customer service, does not appear they ever have enough people, the people who worked appear to be only interested in...
