UPDATE:Today, the nurse practitioner, Felicia Miles, called to follow up with me. She was very apologetic about the mixup in scheduling a test she ordered, and provided me a phone number to contact the imaging center myself. I think Ms. Miles is very caring and knowledgeable. However, there still seems to be a disconnect between the front desk and the care provider. I called the office twice to find out why my sonogram had not been scheduled, but Ms. Miles had no knowledge of it The ball is getting dropped at some point.

Initially, I rated my visit 5 stars because the office was nice, wait time was short, and the nurse practitioner seems quite competent, but after waiting a week for a scheduler to contact me for an appointment to get a sonogram (and still waiting at the time of this review), and hearing nothing back on the bloodwork that was drawn, I have to lower my stars. I think this place must be primarily an office for cosmetic medicine like botox and "skinny shots", skin peels, etc.,aka a "med spa", that CAN also do primary care if need be. I went to this place because I have been experiencing back and abdominal pain, and it would have been nearly a month before I could get in to my regular doctor. The ratings were good, and I was able to get a same day appointment. But if you really feel bad and need answers as to why, this is not the place to go, in my experience. I received no paperwork other than a receipt for a co-pay! No after visit summary, no nothing! Go to a regular doctor or more traditional urgent care if you are really ill. SO many great things about this medical office. I just moved to Dallas and was on the hunt for a good PCP to see regularly. Not only were the staff so nice and helpful, they were personable and it felt as though they truly cared about me as a person AND patient. Dr. Nydjia Lawrence was AMAZING on so many levels. I felt advocated for and she was so nice, personable, and answered all of my questions. As a black woman, it’s been difficult to trust the medical industry to do me right. She did me right- point, blank, period. She even asked a few questions herself- which is uncommon in a lot of doctors and nurses these days beyond the mandatory questions. They worked with me in terms of my schedule and my insurance coverage. They even taught me about how to advocate for myself further in my medical experience.
