My first experience at this restaurant was one for the books to say the least. I am not one to leave bad reviews but this one I absolutely have to speak up about.
I came here on 1/20 with my friends, who had eaten here before and raved about this place. I was excited about eating here especially since I didn’t want to eat fast food so late. We walk in and order and I get street fries. I grew up in Cali so I assumed street fries was interchangeable with carne asada fries which has the toppings of cheese, pico, guac, etc. well my mistake I ended up ordering chicken street fries. I received them and the chicken was large chunks of meat and no additional toppings outside of half melted cheese. I go up to the register to let them know I did not want the fries as it didn’t look good and the manager tells me that once the food is cooked it’s policy that no refunds or exchanges for food are given and if you want something else you have to pay again. I say okay, I order two beef tacos and a side of fries and pay. I get the food eat half of it and wanted to box up the other half for when I got home as it was late. So I grab two small to go containers, pack up my dirty plates, because I have manners and leave my to go boxes on the table away from the dirty dishes. Meanwhile, my lyft calls me and tells me he’s arrived but I don’t see him so I end up stepping outside to go check and tell him where I’m at. I go back inside after talking to him and everything on my table is gone. I go back up to the counter and ask what they did with the to go boxes and the manger says “I threw away trash” I said “there were two to go boxes… you thought that was trash” he says “well you left and your friends didn’t say anything” so he figured out he made a mistake, yet there was no apology whatsoever, and he told me “you just want something to complain about” when in fact I didn’t want to complain about the street fries but I was hungry. My friend comes up to also defend me because she saw everything and he says with an attitude “do you want more tacos or not?” I said “no I’m good.”
I won’t even attribute this to race, I just think this establishment handled my orders poorly and had no remorse behind trying to remedy the mistakes made. Eat here if you want but beware the customer service is not good and know that if you don’t like what you order you will have to pay for...
Read moreRude, inconsiderate staff!!! AVOID THIS LOCATION!! After ordering a cha mango, the young gentleman Dari (an early 20 something year old Hispanic male) had put way too much chamoy/tajin in it. I have gotten this drink plenty of times made through other employees, and it has never been this gross to the point where it is undrinkable. Normally I can taste the mango within the drink, but this time it wasn’t tasty at all and it felt like I was drinking straight tajin. After coming back in to ask politely for him to remake it, the younger gentlemen in the morning (6/29) in the am shift continued to argue with me, and tell me how this drink is normally made. I barely got a few sips out of it and couldn’t drink the rest. Normally I would never return things, but this time I felt like it this was something completely undrinkable. The young man literally had the nerve to tell me “it’s not my problem if you don’t like this drink.” Instead of respectfully remaking it or refunding my money back, he just continued to gaslight me into thinking that the drink was made like that. The other young lady, who claimed to be shift lead, she also was not compassionate and was dismissive towards my concerns. She literally had the nerve to also tell me “too bad, you left the store so we can’t do anything for you.” Like girl, I literally stepped outside to my car, and came back 2 minutes later. Don’t play with me and act like I went home. I will never come back to EVER spend my money or support Lemmon street tacos ever again. I will also be warning everyone about my bad experience. Spend your money towards other places like Taqueria Taxco, who are a lot kind, more understand, and will gladly appreciate you and...
Read moreI went to Lemmon Street Tacos Taqueria on 10/28 for the first time ever. My friend and I were so excited to try it. I ordered three tacos, a regular quesadilla, corn elote, and a drink. When food came out, I received everything but the elote. I went to the counter and told the cashier that I was missing the elote then went back to my table after she said she was getting it. My friend and I were enjoying the food so much that I forgot that I still didn’t get the elote. It dawned on me when I left so I said I’d come back for lunch and inform them of the mistake.
The next day I returned and spoke with a guy who was the manager, told him the situation, and he told me I’d have to come back to get the order from the night shift who made the mistake. I only asked for a credit or a coupon to get it on my next visit. He said no, I’d have to come back at night as they are the only ones who can correct the mistake. I said no worries and left.
The next night (tonight) I came and the cashier from the 28tn recognized me and I told her what happened. She found my receipt, took my order and went to the back. When she came back, she told me that the manager I just spoke with the day before told them that there is nothing they can do other than give me 50% off a new cup of elote. At this point I am annoyed because this was the same manager who told me to come back at the time I originally came in. They refused me a refund or give me the cup of elote UNTIL I requested a refund for the dinner I just paid for.
I am not hurting for $3.99. However, as a customer, I refused to be mistreated, lied to, and strung along so I will not be back despite the good food. Terrible customer care and they do NOT...
