Never cared for Jimmy's until my coworkers and I would ALWAYS order from the Med District location for lunch (we only get 30min breaks). Grew to love me some Jimmy's, and they always did it right! Fast forward a year and a half of ordering and noticed they certainly weren't "freaky fast" anymore. Waited over 45min and thought, well they're busy. I'll order in advance next time (since the meal came after lunch break was over). Waited about an hour or so the next time, this was ordered in advance. Still missed my meal. Didn't give up though. Again ordered early and again, meal came super late. I even tried at least twice after that! Finally called and asked for a refund, they gave me a hard time, mentioned "COVID", and gave me back the cost of my pickle and the tip I gave (which I always tip despite service). Months pass and last week I thought, let me try again. Nope. They were still freaky late and not only that, the Beach Club came with thin layer of guac smushed in the fold- crack of the cheese (couldn't taste it at all). My "quartered pickle" also came not even halved, but split sideways...? I'm not a picky person at all, but this irked me so much I had to write about it. Didn't even call to complain, waste of breath, just writing this up and wiping my hands clean of Jimmy's. Coworkers are also done; friends and family who work at UTSW know about this place now and have let others know to be mindful. Two stars instead of one because, you know, "COVID".
Update Despite everything.... I gave Med District Jimmy's one last try. And although I got my meal around the time I wanted (ordered asap in the morning and requested it an hour before my lunch break begins) they didn't fail to disappoint. Completely wrong sandwich. And still skidmark quac. Dropped from two to one star. Bye Med...
Read moreI love Jimmy John's and I order all the time. However this particular store misses the mark in customer service quite a bit so I decided to share. Overall the employees do not wash their hands before making food. On a regular I visit and if I don't ask them to change them, they take my order on the register with gloves on and head straight to the bar to make my food with the same gloves. They also will walk all around that prep area opening doors to look for things and think they're going to make my sandwich with the same gloves.
A few times when I ask for the vinegar and oil on the side, they put it on anyway. I take my food to work and sometimes cannot eat it until a few hours later. When I order it with bread this could totally ruin the sandwich for me, and it has.
Yesterday I went in before work and ordered an "unwich". I asked for extra lettuce and I got it... but it was all brown. Why would you even have lettuce that looks like that on your bar to serve to people? In food service, you should not serve people things you yourself wouldn't want to eat. This tells me they really don't care about the health and safety of the customers. The lettuce is old... throw it out. I sure wish they would do better because I shouldn't have to stop...
Read moreI gave this particular store 2 stars instead of 1 only because in the past I have not had any issues. The moment a company makes a mistake and then insist the customer has to be put out due to their mistake I have a huge problem . my order was delivered incomplete and upon notifying them I was informed they were to busy to bring the remainder of my order I would have to wait . Lets recap. I ordered and paid cash on arrival. the deliver driver left I immediately noticed my order was incomplete and called the said they will have the remainder out asap. Called me back to let me know they were to busy to bring the food I had already paid for. im not sure why companies think that its the customer that gets put out in the event of their own mistakes but I am starting to see this behavior more frequently. Its not my fault bring what I paid for . I take it all back They brought my chips and gave me a free cookie.. I love jimmy johns...
