I've been wanting to try noodles with black soybean sauce and saw that King Jjamppong has them so I stopped by. The noodles were delicious, bouncy and tender and the sauce was slightly sweet and tasty mixed with veggies and bits of meat 😋 I got more than I expected! Couldn't leave without trying their pork Bulgogi and we loved their marinate! I regret not adding their #17 (fried chicken with sweet and spicy sauce) to this order 🤦♀️but we will next visit. I found out that we go straight to the register to order OR can use their touchscreen located next to the register to do so. Dining in this place made me feel like I was at a friend's house because EVERYTHING I needed was at my reach; the water dispenser, even complimentary coffee! Just select hot water and add a packet of their instant coffee; extra plates, chopsticks and silverware at the counter as well as hot sauces. I ordered at the register and the lady who took my order was super sweet, as was the gentleman who brought our food to the table. The place is super clean and I loved that they have a variety of table sittings; 2 sitters, 4 or up to 12, it looked like. Best of all, as of 2025, their prices are super affordable. Their complimentary sides were very tasty too, this was my first time trying yellow radish and I loved it. I highly recommend...
Read moreIt’s rare to find such authentic Korean-style Chinese food in Dallas. The gan-jjajang (black bean noodles) here is one of the best, and the sweet & sour pork tastes just like something homemade — clean, tender meat with no fatty bits and absolutely no pork smell. The real highlight is that the pork is freshly fried to order, so every piece comes out super crispy yet tender inside. Since this is a family-run spot by a mother-and-son duo, the food naturally has that extra touch of care.
The fried dumplings are hand-made, juicy, and delicious, while the seafood jjampong (spicy noodle soup) is refreshing and flavorful. We drive all the way from Plano just to eat here, and there’s only one reason why: no other Korean-Chinese restaurant does it with this much heart and quality. Absolutely...
Read moreIt is most similar to the Chinese food I ate in Korea. I tried Jajangmyeon, Zzamppong and sweet&sour pork. All foods were made as soon as we ordered. The skin of sweet and sour pork was thin and chewy. The meat was thick and had a good chew. The sauce was less sweet than other places. I ordered Jjajangmyeon in thick black bean sauce and it was very good. There wasn't much water coming out of the sauce until I finished eating the noodles, so I was able to fully enjoy the jajangmyeon. I had seafood jjamppong, and it tasted like a soup with the scent of ginger. Thanks to this, the seafood has a clean taste without any fishy smell. Noodles are tendered and chewy. They have a clean bathroom and some...
