A CALL IN ORDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!!!!CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I CALLED IN AN ORDER AROUND LUNCH TIME....Got home and ready to chow down BUT I was missing two items. Notice that I said "CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE" three times, that is because this was not the first or second time this has happen to me. I don't visit this location often but in the past when they would mess up my order, they would make up for their mistake by making a note for me to receive something complimentary on my next visit, but by the time I returned I would have forgotten what they had promise me on the next visit. Anyways, after being tired and hungry, I mistakenly left it to chance; after discovering their mistake I called to let them know that they had short me in my order and ask for an accommodation. After being on the phone for about ten minute with unfriendly customer service, I took my order back to get them to void the credit transaction. The staff and "too-busy" manager still refused to accommodate me for their mistake. It leaves me to wonder if they served the food that I returned to other customers, being that the food was untouched, and they don't care about good...

The servers were extremely rude. After asking the first server if their bread contains dairy he laughed and said everything here has dairy and seeing as white bread usually doesn’t I asked him if he could go check and he said sure then passed us off to another server who then came over acting as if she hadn’t been briefed about my inquiry. After asking several different ways if the bread has dairy she returns from the kitchen with a smirk on her face and a plate containing pieces of bread for me “to inspect” as if she did not understand that I need to know whether the few select items on the menu contained dairy bc the moral of the story of my life is I CAN NOT HAVE DAIRY. I can respect that fact that most of their food contains dairy but the attitude and all the extra sarcasm were completely unnecessary and just plain rude and uncalled for. I will NEVER go here again and hope I save someone else from wasting the time out of their day to leave going to this restaurant only to be let down frustrated and uncomfortable. I was served food claiming it was cooked separately that immediately made my stomach bubble and cramp plus now Ive wasted even more of my life...

I must fist say the food was good, my problem was with the wait staff. The rudeness right off the back, because it was my first time at the establishment and I had questions between the daily special and the normal dinner. But I sucked it up, and said maybe she is having a bad day. When my order was ready, in a timely manner I may add. I was presented with more attitude because I asked for a to go drink and plastic ware. When I was waved off and said " I already put plastic fork in there"... I again sucked it up, paid, and took my to go order back across the street where I was getting my vehicle serviced. To my surprise when I sat down to eat, and there was no utensils to cut/ eat my chicken fried chicken with, and I would have to walk back across the high way to get some... let's just say I was not a happy camper. And then to get an eye roll when I entered was another blow. But as I sat eating my now cold food. The same staff member went around the restaurant checking on other customers, but you know who... needless to say I will not be back, even though all of the other customers seemed to be happy, and...

Stopped in at 7:30am on a Sunday for the first time to check out a local place. I wasn't expecting much. Especially for being off Royal and Harry Hines! It's definitely the diner experience: walk up to the counter, a booth, or one of the tables, grab the menu and wait for a server. I decided to saddle up at the counter and it didn't take long to be greeted courteously. I ordered the #2 - Daughter's Special: 2 eggs any style with toast OR pancakes OR biscuits. I made sure to ask what they served as over-easy eggs and when they said really runny I went with over-medium. However, my over-mediums were essentially over-easy so I was glad to have ordered a separate side of toast to mop it up! The (3) ~5" pancakes and 3 to 4 strips of bacon were acceptable (not too limp or crispy). Syrup was served warm in the generic syrup server thing. The place appeared clean and the staff attentive. The bathroom was also clean. Price-wise, I can't complain. I walked out under $15 after a reasonable tip. However, I think now that I've experienced it I can check it off my list and find other places to try.

This place was like taking a step into the past. It's one of those few gems that people don't know about. It was my first time here and it was amazing to say the least. The breakfast was so good. I had the #2 Daughters Special (Pancakes, Eggs, Bacon) it was delicous! The pancakes were soft and fluffy and the syrup was warm and flowed like water. The eggs were pretty good and the bacon was crisp. I would highly reccomend getting this when you come here. The other person that was with me got the 3 Egg omelet with bacon and cheese. The only thing about this is that they unfortunately did not have fruit BUT It was still good with or without the fruit. Let's talk about price and how much this costed. The total was $25.88 which is amazing price for all of that food and to be full after. Love this place and definitely will come back the next time I'm in Dallas!

Absolutely amazing diner place in Dallas; the service, the server and food was fantastic just like homemade. Nothing fancy but good old diner with great vibes; good humor and fantastic coffee. We tried fried chicken and fried steak; both were good but my fav was chicken; you can request one each by the way!!! With peaches n turnip on side:). My son ordered waffle with strawberries and sausages on side n he loved it all. Our server was a sweet lady, very warm and welcoming and she got us bread n rose bread both were fresh from oven. We come to Dallas for game and I am glad I found this cute nook to hang out and lay low n relax till next game. Will definitely come again. Do pay visit if you can and tell me how was your experience.
