Honestly I love the food here and will continue to go here. Next time maybe I will just check my food before leaving..I don’t think I got enough steak you are required to pay extra and I literally got 6 small pieces…like what is this? And also the employee who checked my out at the register was very inappropriate with me and said things that was not necessary. I ignored it because I wasn’t sure if he has like a disability but that is not okay. He should be careful because you never know what someone will do. I called to speak to a manager but no one was there apparently, so I discussed it with another employee to inform her of what happened. She just apologized and told me she agreed it was no okay and that he has done stuff like this with other customers…and she will let the manager know or whatever. Even though I’m disappointed and that happened, I still will go here I will just make sure to have someone else check me out at the register and to double check the amount that I get next time. But very disappointed.

Tons of seating, the people taking our order welcomed us and were friendly! I ordered the mini plate for $8.5 and added upgraded the teriyaki steak for a little more dough. Its a pretty good place with "later" hours 10pm, and the food came out mighty fast and fresh. I got the teriyaki steak, and Kulua shredded pork along with mac salad and rice. for a "light Hawaiian" lunch, the mini is the move, but if you are feeling for the real deal, I'd say got for the bigger 3 meat! teriyaki steak: decent sweetness, wish it was more tender Kulua shredded pork: Not bad, i may get it again, but it felt like it was cooked too fast so it didnt shred to how I personally would like. Their signature sauce is fine, I may opt for the other 2 options when I come back. Rice is cooked perfectly Mac Salad is the standard I would skip the teriyaki steak, but next time I would try the katsu and teriyaki chicken!

I was so excited another hawaiian place opened a few minutes from my house. I've tried almost all the known Hawaiian food places around and was never disappointed. Unfortunately, Mo, Bettahs was decent but not a place I will be ordering again. The steak was good but the teriyaki and katsu was eadable to say the least. The Mac salad was the worst from the bunch. I really wanted to like this place since it's a short commute but I just couldn't imagine ordering while there are better options out there. Order a small plate and try it. Maybe some people might like it but it's not my cup of tea. UPDATE After ordering through Doordash again, I completely fall in love with the food. They completely changed the taste of the Mac salad. Now I'm ordering multiple times a week.

Mo'Bettah makes it MO'BETTAH!

So, in my sophomore year of high school, my family moved to Hawaii(Thank you Uncle Sam). I have very fond memories of the kindness of the people, beauty of the island, and last but not least, the FOOD! I have been looking for the opportunity to check this place out, so off to the races we went!

The decor and atmosphere was giving suttle island vibes with simple little bursts of color and lacquered wood. Matched with the playlist(think island groove). The young lady working the counter was bland at best, but not rude. Just not very welcoming. More like,"Come on and order this food and get the pushin!" Although, I'd rather frequent a spot with mediocre food and great service, I did not let it deter me from my pursuit of what Mo'Bettah had to offer.

Mo'Bettah offers a simple menu that I appreciate( I'm one of THOSE PEOPLE who have to read everything on the menu before deciding). 3 plate options with your choice of protein( 2 meat choices for the Mini and Regular. 3 for the Ekolu) all served with Rice and Macaroni Salad.

Mr. got the Ekolu with Tempura Shrimp, Teriyaki and Pulehu Chicken. The tempura shrimp was fresh and crispy as it should be and looked exactly like the picture(a plus). Mom's and I both got the Mini Plate. Her's with Teriyaki Steak and Chicken which were both lacquered with the tangy, salty teriyaki sauce that I remembered enjoying on the island. They were both tender and flavorful. My Mini Plate had the Kalua Pig(think of it as a hawaiian pulled pork) that was tender and well seasoned, but a little less juicy than I would expect. The Pulehu Chicken was simply seasoned with garlic, black pepper, and a few other spices that were well match to the tasty chargrilled chicken thigh. However, it lacked the juiciness that I would have liked, if not being accompanied by a sauce. The rice was cooked PERFECTLY and took me back to the island. The macaroni salad was what I was really looking forward to. The macaroni I remember in Oahu had a distinct tangy and slight sweetness(compliments of sugar and apple cider vinegar) that this one was lacking.

Nonetheless, Mo'Bettah definitely offered a break from the average quick service chicken...

March 15, 2025 Update Wow! This was the first time in a few visits were the meal was perfect! There weren't charred unedible pieces of chicken. We loved it! Thanks! The afternoon crew were cooking it up right! Can't wait to come back! Dallas Location

September 2024 Update Lunch time dine in was great! Temperature inside is usually cold but very pleasant today. The food was cooked well and not over done, service was good, definitely enjoyed and will be back for lunch.

October 2023 Update Previously tried this location and was served burnt, inedible teriyaki chicken. But this time...service was great, order taken/delivered fast and no burnt or inedible chicken. Ordered teriyaki chicken and katsu chicken. The seating area was clean and we enjoyed eating in the atmosphere. Hope to have this same food/service next time. Just check your food before you leave if carrying out. Changed rating to 4 stars.

Update: I received a 2 question survey from the company and did state the same issue. Well, they actually read them and respond quickly. They apologized and made it right. Appreciate their response. I will give this location another try. Changed service to 5 stars. I will update food stars when I try again.

I usually go to the Plano location but decided to give this location a try while in the area. Unfortunately, the quality is not the same. There were several burnt pieces of teriyaki chicken disguised in the container. The pieces were very burnt on the bottom and not the top. It was not able to be eaten due to the very tough texture/burnt tasting. I had ordered 2 plates to go for myself and someone to try because I said how good it was. Well, we both were left disappointed. Note to self... check all sides of chicken when I get take out before I leave the restaurant. Oh and if you get pulled pork...it tastes favorable but salty; that was consistent across...

First, let me say I am a pretty big fan of Mo Bettah's. Generally good food and with the deals you offer through the app it can be a really great deal. However, I have to agree with other reviewers concerns regarding this particular location. While I wouldn't say I had the worst experience ever, I would say that the staff here needs some serious training in customer service. The young man behind the counter with glasses and long black hair seems genuinely unhappy to be here. I get that we all have a bad day but this doesn't seem like that (per the other reviews). Perhaps he is good in other areas and in the right place with proper training he might excel. Then there is the girl with pink air pods in with clear glasses and dark black hair. Not exactly miss friendly either. That I could also write off as being tired so again I don't know her usual behavior. I was only surprised when a kindly old man asked if they could lower the blinds due to the sun beaming down on their table. She just stared at him blankly and said something along the lines of, "We're pretty busy right now.... We'll get to it if we can.". I thought, to myself "Yikes". Even if you are too busy to do that certain task then you can say something like, "I'd be glad to have someone help you. Could you give us just a bit while we finish getting the outstanding orders for the customers that are waiting? Then we'll be right with you. Sorry about that.". He didn't seem like the kind of person to complain so perhaps he didn't pursue it.... Further, it took quite a bit longer to get our order than usual and they didn't seem to be understaffed... Just my...
