We used to come here a lot. When my son asked for Pappas Steakhouse, we said, "No." Our only experience there (pre covid) was not a good one. Our steak place is somewhere else. He then picked Pappas Seafood. We've been to many locations with many people. We love it. Great service, great with allergies, great food, and a cozy atmosphere.
So many businesses have just been impacted by the state of the world. Unfortunately, pappado's seafood kitchen seems no different.
We were a family of 7 people, and all had beverages, appetizers, and meals.
Water was not delivered until we asked each time it was empty. The server was just not attentive. She seemed new, maybe.
Less than 5 tables had people it was 7:30 on a Monday.
We heard a crash (after the apps had been cleared) we were the only large table, I saw that large tray turn right back into the kitchen, and I said, "there goes one of y'alls meals." (I saw the tray of food coming through and then right back in.)
Forward a few minutes, and the server brought out 5 peoples meals, 1 person's potato only, and one person's stuffed shrimp only.
She said, "I'll go back and get his steak and your baked potato." She leaves.
A few minutes go by, and she's back empty-handed and says, "It's going to be about 5 more minutes for the steak and baked potato, Is that ok?" (for his rare steak). What are we supposed to say?
My husband said, "Was there a problem?" She said, 'No, their just..." and shrugged. It was a manager's responsibility to deliver something like that if she couldn't.
We were having a birthday celebration. It was absolutely ridiculous, and we will not be back here. It's really unfortunate.
On top of everything, all of our shrimp and lobster tail were way overcooked, probably because they sat under a heat lamp a few 5 extra minutes trying to figure out if they could make it work. The bacon on the potato is usually great. This tasted like watered-down bacon flavor, some sweetness, and then, a metal cookie sheet that's never been washed, cooking these up each day. The metallic taste, or old, I don't know.
Fail on multiple levels. You can be sure the quality of (at least this location) absolutely every aspect, throughout your visit here will not be par.
It seemed dark and stale and gave more of a Chili's vibe than what I expected from Pappadeaux. Maybe having all of those Pappas in one location dwindled their employee pool a bit too much to survive this. Only keep the good ones open. It's not worth losing customers.
On a side note, if you have a SHELLFISH ALLERGY they told my friend they no longer clean the grill for steaks, they won't guarantee a safe space to cook non gluten and non shellfish and so your only option is the chicken ceaser sald. They used to be so good about accommodations for allergies. Im sure it's a legal thing. I'm just passing it on as info not to debate if you believe in the practice. It's not factored into...

We were seated quickly upon entering the restaurant adjacent to the bar in one of the circle booths. My spouse really enjoyed this location daily for lunch when working in the nearby office building. This location has plenty of parking spaces in the area and several handicap parking spaces in front of the restaurant. The parking lot is spacious enough for a crew cab type pickup truck to maneuver comfortably in the parking lot to find a parking spot. Host. We were greeted after being seated in the restaurant. The pace of our drinks and food was sufficiently quick for us to enjoy the drinks, the appetizer, and the main meal without feeling that we had been forgotten by the server. Our server was very efficient and mindful that we were there and his customers. This server definitely earned his 22% tip. The restaurant was clean as well as the restrooms when I went in to check. The food was hot when served and tasted as well as it looked when it arrived at the table. The bread one it was brought to the table was still warm enough to melt the butter and enjoy! I ordered the catfish and my spouse ordered the ginger salmon. We enjoyed the strawberry lemonade but one of the mocktails that I ordered was not good and too expensive for something I didn't like.
June 2019: 5 ⭐: I came to this restaurant during the dinner hours. We spent a little bit of time standing in line but we were seated fairly quickly. Our server came by the table asked us for drinks and appetizers and was very professional. He brought the calamari appetizer and the drinks in a timely fashion. Power sued arrived within a reasonable amount of time after we place our order for the shrimp and grits and the crispy salmon. The food came out great and the server did a very good job of taking care of us during our meal. The restaurant was fairly full during the time of our meal so we decided we would sit for a little while longer and eat some of the pecan pie which was very very good...
Read moreDon't waste your time! Pass this location, run! Go to Grapevine my location than Lombardy/NW HWY. If you want a relaxing dinner on the way home from a trip this is not the location. We expected a relaxing dinner on our way home but whatwe received was overpriced, cold food, cold fried catfish, a table side sharable salad with a skimpy portion of Greek salad with one Greek pepper to share, and no refills on tea. We had to wait over 20 min go get someone's attention to finally get one of our refills on sweet tea. For the half/lemonade and tea the waitress was told it would cost an extra 3.95. For half lemonade/ tea are you kidding me you are charging for refills. Waitress clearly gave other tables refills around but us.
The service was terrible! The waitress did the bare minimum. Never asked if we needed anything else or how was the meal. Management seemed to not care either. Just walked around.
The restaurant was empty for a Friday night.
Not sure why the servicer dropped the ball tonight.
The tables around us were offered refills, bread, hot sauce you name it they got service. We had to ask each time we wanted something. Our server did not have many tables. Why was the service so bad!! I did not dine in to be ignored and to get cold food.
The waitress at the table behind us dropped a tray of water and did not apologize just cleaned it up and put a sign saying wet floor no care that we were right there at the table next to when she dropped the tray. My purse good all wet. Did not offer napkins or anything.
What I expected was a relaxing night out. We were ignored and treated like we were not worth the server's time. Just bothering them for dining in.
Going here was a mistake!
Pappadeaux please do better! I have gone to many of your locations and love your food but the service will make me think again before going again. I've been coming to this location for years and have never received poor...
