This place is a hit or miss. The service and food are amazing sometimes they're horrible. For the times we've had good food and service they were slightly busy, on a weekend. the last two times we went were horrible, on one occasion we were sat in front of the stage. Our waitress took our order and disappeared, we ordered the appetizer special of the day of cueritos and shrimp and they came back with a tiny plate of 4 small shrimp and a couple of cueritos. it isn't worth it at all for $8. I ordered a michelada and it was only lime juice in a cup...again not worth the price. for food we ordered the machitos, rinonada and flautas. The food was great but took a lot longer than usual when we have ordered the same thing before. the flautas were my kiddo's favorite, she's a picky eater but loved these and compared them to the ones we make at home. Then the night got worse. They had a singer come up to the stage and start to sing. She was great, however, it was very difficult to enjoy when the sound was unnecessarily loud. It's a big place but the sound was enough to fill a space 3x as big, not to mention we were smack dab in front of a speaker. we were almost done with our meal so I didn't want to be rude and ask to be moved so we put up with it. However, we witnessed many people complain to the waitresses and not one of them went up to the sound guy to tell him. people started leaving and complaining about the volume. still, nothing was done. we were ready to leave and get away from it but our waitress was nowhere to be found. 4 songs later we finally found her and asked for our bill, then she disappeared again. finally, I got up and I, and the kiddo went to wait in our car while my partner paid. while we were outside we saw at least 4 families go in open the door, hold their ears and leave. Finally, 30-45 min later we were able to get out of there.

The next horrible experience was our party on a Monday, it's a lot of us so we picked a day where it wouldn't be too crazy. it was a disaster. everything took way longer than needed. we were at the only table and had to go looking for our waitress each time we needed something. the last straw was when another table came in. just one man. she stayed with him the entire time and when we had to call her she would roll her eyes and take her time coming over. she would forget our drinks and we had to remind her at least twice each time. It was such a disappointing party, and I feel horrible since I recommended the spot to everyone else.

needless to say, this is the last time I stop by for a while, and I definitely will not recommend it. I will miss my Monterrey style food but there are other ways of getting food that reminds me of home, and if I want eyes rolled at me id just stay at home with my...

We have been to cabrito los cavazos a few times before and it was always great however on Sunday June 16th (father's day) we had a bad experience I understand that it was a very busy day, first we waited for about an hour to be seated we were a party of 8 when we got to the table we ordered drinks after a while we only got 3 of the 8 drinks we ordered and after 10 minutes we got the other five drinks so far we are like ok the are busy no big deal, we ordered our food and got our CALDO PATA SALADA after 20 minutes and then the rest of the food we got it 40 minutes later and we said the samething no problem the are busy honestly the food was very disappointed the MACHITOS had no flavor at all the PALETA and the PIERNA were tasteless like it was cooked in a rush no salt no spices and on the parrillada the shirmp was uncooked we were still trying to deal wit it the best way posible since you guys were super busy, forgat to mention me and my brother ordered 2 rounds of coronas the beer wasn't cold enough we both talked about it but we drank them anyway at this point we were very uncomfortable but willing to move on with out complaining, also the music in the background was bad and too loud we couldn't even talked to eachother I order one last beer when the waitress brought it it was hot and I said to her this beer is hot to what she replied it was just put in the fridge but I can get you a cold mug to what I replied that the beer even if I pour it in a cold mug still not going to be cold,at that point I wasn't willing to keep looking the other way and send the beer back and ask for the check I just want to say the bartender and the waitress should use a little common sense and not serve hot beer anyways we end up spending almost 500 dollars on a bad meal the tip was included(15%) but I would it leave 25 %tip on good service and good food I work in the industry I manage a restaurant in uptown dallas, just wanted to share some feedback hoping that you fix those issues and go back to be the great restaurant that you guys...

Sad you can't do -5 star review....my experience was horrible, I wanted to surprise my friend who loves this cabrito meat, but it turned out to be the worst decision I've made. At the begging all was ok staff is a bit unfriendly not very accommodating their customer service is not friendly at all, I've asked if I could possibly try to get a table that had an electric supply so I could get my work phone charged it was low and I depend on my phone for work and all I got was NO we can't help, so I was ok well thank you but I saw a table that was near one so I asked to he sat there. We ordered our drinks which where ok, then we asked waitress for food suggestions based on our likes she said sorry I don't know how to help you, We decided on a dish which she brought right away, however the cabrito on hot plate was cold which we could even touch the hot plate cold to the touch we told her right away sorry but this is cold and we prefer if you could let the cook know. she took it back and took a very long time so we decided we just cancel and pay for what we consumed then she said sorry but I can't cancel the order you'll have to pay whether you ate or not is the bosses policy, then I asked could we speak to manager , she came to the table before I even spoke she said that per owner no food could be return no matter what , so I asked could I please speak to owner and he did come out and said there is nothing I can help you with we cant remove this plate from your ticket. And that we would have to pay wether we ate or not. Unfortunately new restaurant with a very low standard.
