Disappointing Experience at Papa's Barbecue in Dallas: I've been a loyal patron of Papa's Barbecue for over eight years, but my recent visit left me deeply disappointed. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I was the only person in line and opted for a brisket sandwich, chips, and a drink. However, what should have been a quick transaction turned into a frustrating ordeal.
The manager, Lauren or Laurie, seemed to be struggling with the checkout process, causing delays of up to 10 minutes. It was evident that she was repeatedly making errors, prolonging my wait unnecessarily. Thankfully, another employee named Luke stepped in and efficiently resolved the issue, allowing me to finally complete my purchase.
What truly soured my experience was the disrespectful attitude displayed by the manager, Lauren/Laurie. When I politely requested a discount for the inconvenience caused by the prolonged wait, she laughed in my face and dismissively remarked, "It's whatever." Shocked by her lack of professionalism, I confronted her about her behavior, only to be met with further rudeness.
As someone who has frequented this establishment for years, I never expected to be treated with such disdain. Customer service should be a priority for any business, yet the behavior exhibited by Lauren/Laurie was unacceptable. It's disheartening to see such a decline in the quality of service at Papa's Barbecue.
In conclusion, my recent visit to Papa's Barbecue was marred by inefficiency and disrespect. I hope that management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the need for improved customer service training. As much as I have enjoyed the food at Papa's in the past, I will hesitate to return until I can be assured of a more...
Read moreThe food is always good, but at 7pm on Saturday i was third car in line at the drive through after 14 minutes i pulled out the line never moved but i was determined to get a sandwich and fries to go so I pulled around and went inside looked like maybe 10 or 15 people in line so i get in line now im really hungry smelling that BBQ mouth watering and I'm not going anywhere in 18 minutes the line didn't move an inch I had to be in McKinney in 30 minutes no problem if you get through the dead ass line , i wanted to go up and see if the cashier was alive of if someone was having a problem but no commotion finally I had to leave and with nothing but the smell Damnit that would have been good to eat in the car on the way. And sadly their is a few BBQ restaurants in McKinney like Dickey's and they have a sandwich about half the size with beans and a drink for a dollar less so did i get one hell no i can get a sandwich like they have at Quick Trip for $5.00 and its sucks too. Unfortunately i don't get down to Pappas but maybe 1 or 2 times a year and if you all would get somebody to run that line maybe i could have some damn BBQ but no body should have to wait in line for a half hour. I used to be closer the food was much much cheaper and i never waited 30 minutes ever So fix it and ill be back for your wonderful overpriced BBQ. Way overpriced we know it's expensive to run a store like that and pay people what they deserve but just because you can dosent mean you have to Overcharge and load your pockets its just...
Read moreI went to Pappa’s bbq today to try their brisket patty melt sandwich for me and my son. I had about $42 on my debit card but was so hungry and tired from this weekend that I didn’t mind giving them my money to try their patty melts. Well, the drive through cashier messed up my order. So I drive home only to discover that I had two brisket sandwiches and not a brisket patty melt. As tired as I was I had to drive back to the location to inform them of the mishap. There was another lady who took my return order and stated that she would refund my money and ring up the correct order since it was less than what I was charged. At the time I wasn’t thinking about the amount I had left on my debut card which was $5.21 cents. Remember I’m both tired and hungry. So she comes out to my car to inform me that I didn’t have enough on my card to complete the purchase. I’m not thinking it’s going to take days to get back the $37 I paid for the incorrect order. Talk about inconvenienced. She did nothing to try and rectify HER CASHIERS mistake. So needless to say I left with no food and no money to buy me and my child something to eat. All I got was I’m sorry but. I’m sorry I went there to give them what I had on my debit card. So I highly recommend you check your orders or have the cashier to repeat your order before paying or else you’ll be screwed like I was today. I gave two stars because she was willing to give me a refund just not willing to go the extra mile for THEIR...
