This is a really good place to stay, if you are traveling alone or with someone special or a small group of colleagues and need a clean, quiet and nice place to get some good rest, this is it! Within a mile or 2 from Lovefield Airport, but surprisingly, no sounds of airplanes disrupt the property. For the past 2 days, this is exactly what I needed...REST. The rooms are HUGE, very clean, and crisp like a NYC-style studio apartment with the sitting area, desk, large closet space, fully stocked coffee maker, and very large bathroom. Towels had no stains, which shows their attention to detail and cleanlinesd is solid. The king-sized bed literally lulled me to sleep. The fresh smells throughout the hotel are alluring. It has a very "namaste" "zen" quality at this hotel. Very well managed by Vee and Avi during the day and HM at night that greeted me at the front desk. Laundry faculty, ice machine on each floor. This is actually the most quietest and cleanest hotel I have ever stayed! It's very upscale but not too pretentious and "cold." The elevator was out, but it didn't affect my stay, and they were very transparent about it. I did see a crew working on it. So it will be fixed soon next week, according to them. They do have a simple breakfast of self-service waffles made fresh, fruit, juices boiled eggs, oats, cereal bars, bagels, toast, etc. Delicious and simple. Waffle House, Starbucks is literally a stone throw away and very convenient to grab food. Several gas stations surround the property, and the expressway is close too. It's well groomed. No trash was seen in or outside the hotel. I had an issue with my credit card, and Vee took the extra steps to ensure my stay wasn't affected nor delayed by it. Her initiative was perfect!. I really thank her for that. At night, the building feels very secure and quiet, and the night manager HM was alert and available when I had a question really late. Someone was always available. Their team is focused and intentional in making certain the outside world and vibrant area didn't affect customers and the flow of guest in hotel. They do have a business center computer and copier adjacent to lobby area when computer access is needed. My favorite thing is the automatic coffee machine in the eating area that you are allowed to self-serve coffee and tea. They have all the trimmings, honey, creamer, cups etc. And it's all fresh. I give them a 5 on ambiance, service, locations, customer, etc. I will give them a 4 on being family-oriented. The "vibrant" people gently pass by across the street and the deposit you pay during check-in. The deposit is just the same concept for all hotels in the area, so I technically can't hold that against them. But the reason they do it is very much so the reason the property stays nice and reminds customers how they value this property and brand. I had an absolutely wonderful stay, and the next time I'm in Dallas, I'll definitely look to Vee and Avi and HM to treat me the same as I did during my wonderful visit. Finally, I want to give a shout out to the Hispanic cleaning lady with blond hair. She is constantly diligent and sincere in keeping the property amazingly clean. Read moreI am not one to speak badly or be negative but I was told that my review won't affect or change anything I think it's important to be aware of how you treat others. I enjoy traveling and experiencing firsthand the type of accommodations, and service each Hotel and even Motel may give their customers. First impressions you can never change because it's your first chance to leave an impression on someone that may last forever. Maya Angelou's famous quote is, “I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” This hotel left me feeling robbed, cheated, and violated while being yelled at with false accusations of fraud when indeed fraud was committed sad to say the female who claims to be the Hotel Manager that refused to give her name. That was a red flag of the shady way she was conducting not only herself but the business she claimed to be running. First, she instructed us to go online to make another reservation to check us in so we could stay in the same room as opposed to just extending our stay and using the existing deposit we had already put on the room. But that is not allowed we have to put in an additional 100 charge for the 2nd day of staying. Reminder you have to wait 7 to 10 business days to get that deposit back. That's $200 more you have to put down than what is initially told to you, so read the small print is what she responded to me with. She had an attitude from the beginning and I had to wait for her to finish the conversation she was having in her language on her earpiece at the front desk, mind you I speak another language myself but common courtesy is to not do that in front of what you would call your guests, you never want them to feel uncomfortable especially when your hotel is named the Comfort Suites. The customers pay for accommodations and a level of service that they should be able to expect in the hospitality industry. This person who claimed to be the manager must have missed what hospitality is. I have never been insulted, yelled at, and accused of fraud just because I commented that her customer approach or service she is providing is coming off a bit rude. She refused to check us in after she ran my card a couple of times for the deposit and charge to the room. Not only did she take money she also refused to give the services she had just made us pay for. Not to mention she kept my ID and it took for the next shift to come in for me to be able to retrieve my Driver's license which had all my personal information on it. I NEVER FELT SAFE HERE, MY UHAUL I HAD THAT NIGHT WAS BROKEN INTO SO THE WHOLE NIGHT I HAD TO KEEP AN EYE OUT AND SLEEP WITH WINDOWS SHADES OPEN. NOW I AM WORRIED ABOUT WHAT SHE HAS DONE WITH MY INFO. I DO NOT TRUST THAT MY INFO WAS KEPT SAFE BECAUSE SHE NEVER SAID OR DID ANYTHING TO PROTECT THE CUSTOMER. She kept my license the whole day and never called me to tell me she still had it, I questioned why she decided to steal my license and not return it. If not for the 2nd shift that came in answered the phone and verified that indeed my license was there finally returned it. Read moreGreyhound was delayed over an hour, so I arrived at the hotel around 12am and had to wait in luggage area for about 30mins to be let into lobby to check in. There were 2 others in same space waiting for their Uber; I'm guessing they were made to wait there while lobby was locked. This is in an area with prostitution occurring right in front of hotel. Management did nothing about it until Sunday when they finally started asking random cars in parking lot to state purpose. I'm assuming they also called police on that day because prostitution was not as "in your face" (hotel should consider posting info about human trafficking as a lot of potential is there). Handicap access shower flooded bathroom despite the shower curtain and standing water almost caused me to slip (I'm disabled). Elevator was broken down but there was no warning when reservations were made (they were down for over two weeks based on anticipated repair date of Mar 1). The following morning's desk clerk told me to ask the breakfast attendant for coffee creamer. When I told him I did and she told me to ask him (it kind of seemed like he had been telling them to not put any out), he said it was on its way. When I checked back in 20 mins later, he in essence said I was lying and insisted that he told me they were waiting on a delivery. When I told him this, he told me to tell the manager, so I contacted Choice Suites and have heard nothing beyond several surveys and an automated system asking me how "Amy" handled my complaint (their complaint form has very limited space, so the whole experience could not be conveyed). I didn't hear from "Amy" unless she was the automated system that added 10,000 points to my Choice account (whoopee - yes, that was sarcasm). Four months ago, this location had microwaveable breakfast sandwiches and burritos during the week day breakfast, not any more. Hardboiled eggs appeared Saturday and biscuits and watered-down white gravey appeared Sunday. Otherwise, same ol' Belgium waffles, muffins, yogurt, plain bagels, bread, and cereal type of fare. Very different experience 4 months ago, so I returned. But, I'm not very likely to repeat that error. In addition to what I wrote earlier, the desk attendant that checked me in spoke soft and rapidly like the people on medication commercials listing the side effects. I stopped him several times and asked him to repeat, and he seemed put out. He must have had a lower leg cast because he had a knee scooter, if that helps identify him. No one wore a name tag except the Sunday desk attendant. I also asked for toilet paper the second day because there wasn't much of the very poor quality, single-ply that was provided, so I ran out.
