El Toro Sinaloense — Restaurant in Dallas

First I will start with the positive. As someone who is from Sinaloa Mexico, the food is spot on. It's so rare to find good authentic Mexican seafood here in Dallas. Everything tasted very fresh and flavorful, and the drinks are strong and tasty. The atmosphere is also very lively with live Mexican banda on stage and they also come to your table and play song requests. The band is very professional and kind they also play very well.

Now for the negative part. The service is absolutely terrible I’ve been here on 3 separate occasions and on all 3 times the service was mediocre at best. I have 7 years of service industry experience so I’m aware of good service. The waitresses only came to our table 2-3 times at most. On 2 of the times my food orders came out wrong. My first time at el torro sinaloense was on 10/19/2024 at night, I went up to the hosts to put myself on the list for a table it was the mother of my child, my son which is 3 and myself. The hosts literally told me that they would text us when our table is ready that it was going to be 30mins of a wait. We gave them 45mins more since it was a weekend and busy we understand, when that time came up nothing I went up again and told them they said other 30mins so now a hour we decided to get a quick snack around the area and still nothing no text. After a few minutes after i noticed outside of their building they had a taco stand.

I asked the chef or cook if they was the same yes but different menus that they only sold tacos outside. The family really wanted to try out there main menu from inside, our severe made it happen (Berenice) was really nice, polite and welcoming ask for her I think she said she works from Thursday and on to the weekend. She didn't forget about us always coming to check on us always attending because of her and the food I still got tacos from outside by the way, I'm giving it a 4 star. Need to give (Berenice) a raise or promotion i never had such a good service like that.

Mi primera vez en el torro sinaloense fue el 19/10/2024 por la noche, me acerqué a los anfitriones para ponerme en la lista para una mesa, éramos la madre de mi hijo, mi hijo de 3 años y yo. Los anfitriones literalmente me dijeron que nos enviarían un mensaje de texto cuando nuestra mesa estuviera lista y que la espera sería de 30 minutos. Les dimos 45 minutos más ya que era fin de semana y estábamos ocupados, lo entendemos, cuando llegó ese momento, nada, volví a subir y les dije que habían dicho otros 30 minutos, así que ahora una hora decidimos tomar un refrigerio rápido por el área y todavía nada, ningún mensaje de texto. Después de unos minutos, me di cuenta afuera de su edificio que tenían un puesto de tacos.

Le pregunté al chef o cocinero si era lo mismo, sí, pero con menús diferentes, ya que solo vendían tacos afuera. La familia realmente quería probar su menú principal desde adentro, nuestra ama de llaves lo hizo posible (Berenice) fue muy amable, educada y acogedora. Pregunté por ella, creo que dijo que trabaja desde el jueves hasta el fin de semana. Ella no se olvidó de nosotros, siempre venía a ver cómo estábamos y siempre estaba atenta por ella y por la comida. Por cierto, todavía pedí tacos de afuera. Le doy 4 estrellas. I recently visited this restaurant hoping to have a good time, and while the atmosphere was decent, the food left much to be desired. The music was okay, but the service was notably slow, which added to the frustration.
